why's everyone bitching at em' to go back to school...maybe its just not his thing, bill gates was a in burnout/highschool dropout who smoked pot in his garage all day, and tinkered with computers......some people just need time to find themselves/see what they wanna do. I am 21 years old, and dont have any in idea...i barely graduated highschool eventhough I did...I went to college and didnt have any idea as to what i wanted to do, i flip-flopped kerry style for two years..went to graphic design school, found that the job market for that sucks balls..u might as well work at a supermarket. Now I'm out of college and a brokeass...think im gonna go into real estate.

Go back!

Myself, I'm getting out of school, too. BY FINISHING IT! I'm soon done with what I think is the equivalent of "college" in america. Or high school.

Bleh, I will never understand your funky educational system...

Yeah..the difference is just making like $18 an hour as opposed to $8-10. Most tech and engineering jobs are going to be taken over from people overseas soon who will do it for cheaper.

Any way you look at it, you're doing a menial crap job for most of your life unless you have a real knack for business of some sort and the motivation to try and get as much out of it as possible.

One of my friends dropped out of high school as soon as he could, and is making $25 an hour working for Microsoft now...it all really depends how much motivation you have to go places.

I'm a dropout and I just don't care much. All I really want I can afford with a low paying job, so I don't care all that much.

You need a good solid base. There are few cases where dropouts end up making a fortune. The point is there's more probability in making it in the 'real world' if you have a good amount of education. So those square diplomas/certificates/degrees do count.

Plus, he would end up struggling more as compared to a person with a high school diploma.

You're 21. You know more and are more aware of what's out there. The confusion is normal for you. But this guy is just a lazy junior in high school who is sick of school rules.

You're frustrated about your future but this thread is about Rj. Don't still the spotlight.

you guys make it seem so easy by saying "go back", yes i can go back (and i'm think i will when i'm allowed) but really what's the point, i won't do anything; i'll skip often; bitch at the teachers, and so on, like Remiks said, its just not my thing, and if i'm gonna be following rules might as well get paid for it, see money motivates me:D... anywho most of you are probably laughing at my 'ignorance' or whatever, but hey, that's just me, cant change, wont change.

I love how everyone is referencing 'him' indirectly like you would if you were parents arguing about your child. Awww.... what a family we are.

I think we did a bad job raising him. :D

I'm not laughing. And my guess is many here showed concern. That's why they gave you advice.

If you stayed in school for ten years+, why not stay for another two? You lose nothing. There are more years ahead of you.

he gets it from you.

It doesnt matter if its easy or hard to go back, JUST GO BACK. Personally I don't care if you skip or bitch or kick or scream, JUST FINISH.

Trust me kid - you might think you know what you're doing, but YOU HAVE NO IDEA. You might think you have a plan for the future but YOU HAVE NO IDEA. Just finish school dude, you WILL regret it if you don't even if you're dead sure right now you don't think you will. YOU WILL REGRET IT. FINISH SCHOOL.

I think he gets it from you since you keep citing that one line from MTV. "But you have no idea"? Without doubt, he gets it from ya. I rest my case.

I dont think it's ignorance, just maybe a bit of immaturity. I dont mean that as an insult or bad thing, as we are all young at some point. Im just saying that you have little experience of what the real world has to offer. Unless you start with a nice sum of money through inheritance or business, it is very difficult to prepare for the future. Youve got to think about more than driving a nice car and having money to spend on drugs/bitches/products. Im not saying let money motivate you; Im suggesting that you realize that to get by in this country, you need to be able to save for things like car maintainence and doctor visits/insurance along with providing for your basic needs. If you ever have children, things get 3 times worse. Youll eventually have to move out of your parents house (Do you even want to be there when youre 18?). When this happens, youll realize that a moive theater job just isnt enough to cut it. I dont think any of us are being insulting when we tell you you should return. I think were just trying to give you some of the wisdom of our combined experiences about the difficulties of living on your own in America. In the end, it is, of course, your decision, but it should be known that even at your young age, you are making decisions that could last a lifetime.

Dont worry about not knowing where you want to go with your life. At worst, you at least have a high school diploma, and a potential chance at college. You have ample time to decide where you want to go, but I reccommend getting your high school degree first.

Sometimes in life, youve got to bite the bullet to get what you want.

I was going to make this in-depth long post about how that's the biggest mistake in life you'll ever make, and question about just how you were planning on keeping a job if you can't abide by the rules you get in High School, when jobs are by far less tolerant, but then I realized you'll never get past McDonald's.

So the moral of the story is: You're a ing moron. Go back to school kid.

I was gonna make this long in-depth post, but I don't feel like it.

So the moral of the story: you're an idiot (not you Sara :p) if you plan on staying out of school. Go back as soon as you can, and...I dunno, maybe beat yourself with a pole until you realize that without school your life is going nowhere...and TRUST ME on this, cause I just got suspended for 2 semesters, and spent them working like a ing idiot at a deadend job that would get me NOWHERE if I was...say, 5 years older than I am now.
