whats up everyone..... this is actually my 1st post to this forum and just wanted to say "Hi to all". I cant wait to start getting messages in, cus i've definitely had plenty. Anyways, I'm a 21 year old male in FtLauderdale, FL. and have been into the Trance scene for only 4-5 years (Rookie??). N-e-ways I'm a former hiphop DJ and gradually evolved to Trance music as my #1. Although I dont DJ trance I'm very much into the music and enjoy the variety <---as opposed to a 1 dimensional hiphop. Its nice to be a part of this site now. Peace

Welcome! I too am a former hiphop DJ/producer. I still do some hiphop, but mainly its now mixed in with some Jungle flavor. I'm getting a few DJs and some writers together to start a crew with an AK1200 meets Talib Kweli type feel. You write or just spin? I'm the multi-faceted type, had problems making all the Trance heads accept my hiphop ass when I first got here. Mad drama, lol. They chilled though. :D Good to see others in the hiphop feild elporing outside genres.

Yeah....i just spin. No writing here. I really built my DJ sets and whatever around the underground radio / classic hiphop scene, nothing to really do w/ DJing clubs or wack ass partys. As of late i've just been into Trance and just the phat hiphop coming out. Hiphop is getting too soaked w/ the bling sh!t, u know. I'm looking to try to get more into production on hiphop though but things are moving kinda slow (school, work, bills, etc.). N-e-ways ....any1 here from the Broward area? Laters

Howdy Y'all. I'm Agent_Orange. I from like Greenville, South Carolina and stuff. I'm up in Terre Haute, IN for school until June 2. I can't wait for my summer to start.
Spring Break was just like a teaser and junk. Anyways, I guess I'll be seein' some of y'all around.
I think I heard someone say something about G-Ville in here, but I didn't really pay attention.

Yeah, so I've done the ocassional trance djing in my day. I can't really say that I have just 1 style. I'm basically all over the map. I've also been the drummer and lead vocalist of several bands. Ranging anywhere from blues to rock to ska. I'm pretty much handled it all. I'm still young (21) but I've experienced more than most could believe. I don't want to sound cocky or anything, but that's just the way it is. If you ever talk to me one on one, you might notice that sometimes I get side tracked and talk about myself for hours on end. If I ever start doing that, just give me a brisk slap. Anyways, I hope to talk to y'all more and shnizzle. |

I'll be in Atlanta for most of the summer, during my free time. I have a good friend who is moving to Atlanta. She wants to go to some raves with me. She has never been to one before.
I still need to discuss the July 22nd date with her. |

This weekend I was spinning at Skinnerfest, an infamous all party thrown on campus once a year. I didn't record it, though, but it was pretty suite. I started with techno and then led into punk inorder to setup the stage for the punk band that was going to play after me. After the punk band was done, I eased the crowded into some weird bluesy trance and then into full blues to set it up for the rock/blues band that was going to finish up. It was a fun time.
I used to have some of the stuff that I did in high school, but I think that it is long gone by now. |
