Hi my name is Garrett, I am from North Carolina, right now I'm a student at NC State U, I pop up in here sometimes, but usualy spend my posting time in the NYC forum.
But now things have changed and this forum's descrip is including my home, so I will now be posting here a bit more often.
The one thing that scares me away from this forum is that these threds are hundreds of pages long and full of conversations between everyone that don't seem to be very related to their subjects. I fear that you all are already in your own cliques and that I have come to late to be assimilated into the groups you have formed, I hope this is not true, but so far that is the way things appear to be.
I look forward to posting with you all, despite the insanely small amount of attention my region of the country gets, it is a very nice place to live and great music can be found if one would only look for it.
It is very rare that I make it to an even in ATL or FL, since it is such a long way away. I might show up at WMC next year if all goes well, maybe I will meet some of you over there.
Sometimes I make it up to DC, I've met a couple of the more traveling FLTA's that way, but they probably don't remember me at all. NYC is closer to me than southern FL, and I plan on going there one of these days as well.
Currently I have no traveling plans, but Armin at central park sounds tempting, some of the kids in my area that are into trance are thinking of carpooling. There are a bunch of trance dj's in NC, and some pretty talented musicians but they dont get booked very often to play anywhere because trance gets overlooked so much around here, but they are all nice people and have mad talent. There are a couple NC TA's as well, but I post more than any of them, although occasionaly someone will speak up from my area.
If any of you ever find yourself in NC for some reason or other, I can help you find a fun place to go out, some big names make it here if that is what you are looking for, but I bet they are more likely to come to you then they are to me(that is unless you are looking for Icey or Baby Anne, grrrrr)
I sure wish the trancers from my area would organise a bit better, we have the numbers, we just don't have parties to go to or places where we can all talk together and such, and they all seem to be scattered across different places on the net. |

Everyone was new at one time! I love meeting new people, and I'm sure that everyone else feels the same way. You shouldn't be concerned about posting in here. We don't bite. Well some of us do, but it's really not that painful. Kind of a nibble. :toothless |
