did he come home on sunday at 12:01 a.m. ?:p

The only logical explaination for that being able to happen I can think of, is that Wednesday isn't actually the day he left at all. Which means Wednesday must be the name of an object not, the day he left. Does he actually leave on Friday in a vehicle or on something called 'wednesday' :S

yea but i think the real meaning is going to be WHY you chose whoever you decide to chose.

true .. but i think the HR people are looking more into how you can make the best out of a bad situation. they want to see how you react in a tight situation, and know if you are a good decision maker. they are looking more into how, instead of why.

Yeah I think Wednesday is the name of his horse or car or whatever he used to leave town.

i'm surprised no one mentioned the time zone differences.. you know when one half of the world is wednesday, the other half is thursday..
DJ Mikey Mike
Yea that logic could be used if the problem was that he left on Thursday, but as he leaves on Wednesday you can't have a timezone difference of a whole 2 days.

and daylight savings time or traveling around the world by plane going tru time zones make up the differnce.

edit: what about leap year (gain or lose a day)?

I overanalyzed the question as well (mine, that is). I figured that the love of your life was also your best friend who just happened to be an old lady. So I said there was room enough for just one person, and that's all you really needed because they were one and the same. After all, how many different people reside within you?

Despite my blatant philosophical musings, I was wrong. :stongue:

UWM was very, very close,Gholy Host pretty much touched on the answer, while eye_03 sort of stated it the most directly. The answer they were looking for was:

You get your best friend to take your car and drive the old lady to shelter while staying out in the rain with the love of your life.

Once I heard this, it seemed to be the most natural thing to do anyways - I felt that if I were actually in this situation, I would have probably lent the car to my love and had her drive away with the old woman - my best friend (who would most likely be a guy anyways) would have understood what was important. As men, most of us feel a sense of duty for this situation, and I don't mind getting wet anyways. :p

But alas, it makes way more sense to me now - the love of your life should be your equal; devotion does not necessarily mean servitude, and if she is truly worth it, she would rather have walked a million miles in the rain with you than have been away from your side the entire time just as you would do the same for her. :)

Pepsi wants this sort of thing from their executives, I'm sure. Not necessarily the reasoning relying on core values, but the ability to make the best of a situation dispite the worst circumstances. This is why it would probably be a red flag for them had somebody said, "I pull out my cell-phone and call the police to come help me." I would imagine this would be quite parallel to needless expenditure of company resources.

Effeciency is a very cool instict to have. ;)
