Well, as I said, they were looking for people to be versatile thinkers. Not to say anything about your econ degree, but they might have just been looking for people with certain instincts - I found it to be a refreshing way for interviewing as credentials can only go so far. some people just weren't meant to make 6-figures a year; you, of all people here, should know that. :p

Ok...

A rooster lays an egg on top of a roof - which way does the egg roll down? :p

I think the original wording of the joke is: A man rides into town on Sunday. He leaves town, three days later, on Sunday.

Another one, most everyone's heard.

A plane crashes on the border of the US and Canada. Where do they bury the survivors?

These kinds of jokes are better said out loud... it's very obvious if you read it.

but who is to say that the love of your life or your best friend knew how to drive. that is an assumption and pepsico would be stupid to choose those people that answered "correctly" because they would leave the work to people that may not have the necessary skills. you can't assume everyone knows how to drive, what if your car was a manual transmission, you could be sending your best bud down a cliff along with the old lady.

If it's a manual, your best friend better be a man or you have to drive all the women home. :p :stongue:

Then there's:
Who was buried in Grant's tomb?
What color was George Washington's white horse?

Definitely better out loud than in writing, but they sometimes work.
