I was so hammered that I left at around 2:15 or so, and don't really remember leaving either =P The dangers of drinking a lot when you have a bad cold and are sleep deprived, haha.
Tiesto's mixing was better than normal; he didn't have his habitual trainwreck like he's had each time I've seen him at Aria. He played some great tunes, and some weak ones (mostly his own new productions =P). While Tiesto was mediocre however, the party itself was off the hook. Marco G played a perfect opening set (this guy really is a ing awesome AND versatile DJ, you can consider me part of his fanclub), and the crowd/energy/setup was just phenomenal. There were a lot of random non EDM-liking people there just because it was Tiesto, but overall the vibe was quite nice and everyone was super into it. This CEPSUM venue is fantastic and I'd love to go to another party there.
I think the highlight of the night for me was the "extended" remix of Lethal Industry that he dropped, where the bassline went on by itself for like 2 minutes, hahaha, and finally the melody comes in. Only Tiesto or someone nearly as big could get away with playing a tune like that =P |

Yeah I was expecting that song :) He played it at TIC2004 and the second I heard the beginning of the song I started to jump again. Everybody knows don't know this song and they were wondering why I was jumping. But when they heard the melody, they started jumping too:toothless
It's bad he didn't play Just Be and Suburban Train. These songs are damn good! I'ld have close the even with Silence or Surburban Train :)
edit: for those who didn't know, the tracklist is here. If anyone are able to identify the IDs that would be nice because one of them is a song that I'm searching for since saturday :) Tried to record with my cellular but there was too much bass. |
