U can warm up to tiesto playing techno.. i've seen Lucien Foort do that and it was sweeeet. It also depends on the experience and confidence of the DJ. Marco G didnt have either IMO.

Yeah

You really know your stuff

Come on Lucien foort never plays techno, worse case scenario he'll drop a tech-house which is unlikelly anywa. Marco didn't play a techno set at all before Tiesto, he mixed prog, with funky techno and trance what would you want more ??

You should even be happy that Tiesto did such a trance set, believe me when he comes to Montréal he's not that trancy, but for the occasion he played that way because of what Marco did.

Did you know that Tiesto actually LOVES marco g, for the simple reason that he's not trying to steal his sunshine, he does a lo-key warm-up so that the people on the dance floor are pumped when Tiesto's coming. Anyway the whole point of a warm up set... IS TO WARM THINGS UP, i don't see where marco did wrong, he warmed the house up, you should be happy that he didn't throw a up in your face hard techno set before tiesto !!

Yeah RIGHT... Tiesto played the way he did for 3 hours cos of the warm up. Check the last two weeks tracklistings... Tiesto WAS tiesto... plainly and simply - his set in Montreal was the similar style to how he is playing. The first 5 tunes were the same in Charlotte, Montreal, Toronto and NEARLY Boston... he didn't play any differently for anything.

*sigh* the whole point i have is that it WASNT a warm up set. Maybe compared to Marco's normal techno sets... but in all honesty it was still too hard and racing at times to be a warm up. Also... the programing of playing trcks (as posted earlier)... thats not a sign of a good set.
No-one has addressed that yet... i am guessing cos there is no arguement against it being a poor method?
:conf: :D

Look for jsut one second try to imagine something, and every MtlTa will say that what i'm saying is true. Normally, when Tiesto comes to Montréal, he doesn't play that much trance, he usually drops a lot of techno ( which i won't try to explain because you don't know what techno is ) for once, he came to Montréal and threw a REAL trance set. And btw ... have u no life ? you went to every fricken Tiesto show in North America For the same frickin tracklist ? Hello wake-up and smell the coffee, there's something wrong in that sentence. NEver should a dj uses the same tracks over and over and over and over again three nights in a row. I've seen Seb fontaine 2 nights in a row and he didn't know play the same tracks.

Yeah poor method

BECAUSE TIESTO IS THE WORLD BEST TECHNICIAN ANYWAY

No one even tried to replied to you on that subject because clearly, you don't know what you are talking about. Marco dropped his standards because he was playing before tiesto, believe me, he's one hell of a technician, but in a warm-up set would that be appropriate to go ahead and be better than tiesto ??

LMAO

are you his best friend or something???

btw. listing of the Montreal sets Tiesto has played at can be found here: http://forum.tiesto.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11698
and i AGAIN can't see any difference with his setlists at Montreal to cater for your much darker tastes over there...

Seems to me u need to see just what music tiesto NORMALLY plays ie. the same as he always does - ACROSS THE BOARD.. and see that there isn't much special about his sets in Montreal.
Its not like he carries a separate box of records for your clubs.
