Sasha is God...therefore he would be classified as a Deity...and you are all his humble subjects. And if you stray from the word of his gospel, he will reign down razor sharp records on your head.

Light The Fuse
He played a prog trance set in Melbourne about 2 months ago.

not mcprog trance, but prog trance none the less

guys, why the labeling at all? the music Sasha plays changes constantly so its impossibe to put him under one label. In one set he can play prog house, electro, breaks or whatever, so how can you put a different label then just "Sasha" ?

I don't see what the big fuss is over xpander. I love the song, its just blown out of proportion. If you me Sasha - Baja blows xpander out of the damn water.. keep in mind (IMO)

It must of been in late 1999 when I bought the Xpander single. On the 5 song cd, Baja probably had the biggest impact on me

I agree, I find all the other tracks from Xpander EP more appealing than Xpander. Maybe it's because Xpander is actually the simplest one out of the 4 and hence the most accessible?

(EDIT: Just a quick disclaimer before the flames get in - that doesn't mean Xpander would be bad. It's not.)

holden is neither prog and is no way trance for that matter. he has his own style, nuff said. and btw i heard in an interview i think it was posted here or in NYC forums, where he said he doesn't like to classify his style as prog.

When Sasha played recently @ family in Brisbane, and this is not a definitive answer nor are they experts, however they said:

The way his mixes take elements from accross the spectrum of electronic dance from trance, breaks, progressive and deep house and create a languidly hypnotic liquid groove.
