| Excuse my ignorance but....what the hell is mcprog? I'm guessing it's cheesy prog but, what songs would classify under mcprog? |
|
|
| Danny Ocean |
stuff like Markus Schulz, Leama and Moor, ASOT Prog, etc..
by the way, what school did you go to in San Salvador? |

I am definitely a fan of mcprog then!
The British school. |

Yes there is. Zeta Reticula is Umek. |
Yeah, but it's not techno just because Umek made it. |

Yeah. The music doesn't change if it's played louder. |

it's not JUST about the music though is it? it's about the people you're with, the ambience, the club itself, the noise, the drugs, the time of the night...there's so many factors that come into it, so to judge a DJ (and one of the longest-running, and most famous DJs in the world) by a 2 hr rip that has sound quality is a bit
silly
just like your umek comment earlier :haha: |

It's tech-house, so in a way, you're half right. :p |

No. I've heard much more than one Sasha set. All those things have nothing to do with how good, how bad, how boring, or how interesting the music is. Anyone can dance to any music on drugs with their friends in a club at any time whether it has a beat or not, regardless of genre. Therefore those things can't be relied upon to judge music. No, I hear his music and I deem it boring. Live with it.
The guy said Balance 005 = Umek = Techno, which is not correct. |

not quite
ive seen tiesto in a packed gatecrasher and thought he was average
ive seen plenty of techno DJs whilst ed and still thought they were
ive seen the likes of morillo at outdoor festivals and still thought he was pretty average
ive seen judge jules ed and sober, and still thought he was gash
so yes, the music does have an awful lot to do with it. the fact you don't like it is down to your individual preferences, but you can't claim there aren't other factors that influence your perception of a night/set |

I don't see what the big fuss is over xpander. I love the song, its just blown out of proportion. If you me Sasha - Baja blows xpander out of the damn water.. keep in mind (IMO)
It must of been in late 1999 when I bought the Xpander single. On the 5 song cd, Baja probably had the biggest impact on me |
Agree 100%. The Xpander EP is great, but Baja leads the way ahead of Rabbitweed. Xpander and Belfunk will sit comfortably as good songs to me. |
