I agree that Sasha can't be labeled, completely. However, progressive, in many variations, is his core.
I have been disappointed a couple of times seeing Sasha and Digweed. They got into the Bog Prog flow and didn't do anything with the set.
Whenever I have seen Sasha on his own, he has been great. His understanding for keys and set progression is amazing. Not to mention his ability to produce. His depth and layering is very complex, yet sounds simple. It's breathtaking. |

What club? Giant? Circus? Sounds like a plan. Sasha and a massage.
On the dj genres, Chicane produces mainly downtempo, which is frequently mixed into prog trance. I consider Max Graham as much a prog house dj as he is a prog trance dj, too. The rest are right on point. I think Carl Cox plays some house that's not techy though. I don't listen to much of him though, so I might be wrong. Funky house?
And I agree with the guy that says Sasha is a step or two ahead of Tiesto in every facet. Including coke intake. :haha: :haha: |

would classify as glitchy techno.
Avus - Fancy arse (James Holden remix) not so glitchy techno |
I concur.
Back to the topic, Sasha has always spun a mixture of genre, from Deep House, Tribal, Breaks, to Trance, e.g. GU009, GU013, etc. He has always pushed his sound into new frontiers, which was really the concept of Progressive. The way he blends different genres to make his mixes and builds them into journeys is second to none. |

Pigeonholing at its finest. Just stop, it'll never be accurate.
For example, BT has done pretty much everything from film scores to drum'n'bass to trance to ballad rock. |

Exactly. We have enough trouble trying to decide what one DJ plays...imagine all those others! |
