Love how this thread is now about Holden....
back to the topic, Sasha is Proggressive Electro (or Electro Prog). A new genre just for him. He used to be Prog Trance, but IMO other DJS like Max Graham, Leama & Moor, Markus Schulz have passed him by during his time out of the spotlight the last few years, so it is good that he came back and along with it a new sound. |

Nowadays? I guess you could take a look at the five tracks I nominated in the TA track of the year for some idea, but that's not all I listen to...define nowadays. Does it matter? Why do you care?

like i said in my post, i have seen sasha 4 times in the last 6 months, in all states from completely sober to completely ed and he's been great each time. how many times have you seen him? |

Sure. Check out page three of the track of the year 2004 thread. I also listen to (non progressive) Breaks and DnB, just haven't had the time to get into them. Didn't you say I had good taste in music last week or something? Or was it one of the other 50 askisses? |

Maybe not, but it definitely sounds different on a huge sound system than on regular speakers at home. If you can't agree with that then you're either a fool or have not heard anything live. Or both. |

I hate to disagree, but you are dead wrong on this one. If the experience is the same every club would just put in a standard sound system and standard lighting. If you see a DJ in an amazing setting, it only enhances the experience. You make it sound like there is no art to DJing and that anyone can play the same records as a DJ and it will be the same experience. |

Then how about Jake Fairley, DJ ESP or Baby Ford which are all on the CD? How about charting stuff like Adam Beyer, Paul Kalkbrenner or Basteroid? And why have so many DJs on the techno circuit suddenly started to give recent Border Community releases heavy rotation?
I dunno if I'd call Holden nowadays for techno either, but the connection is rather obvious. |
