"I'm going to be sick today and tomorrow so I can't work"
Do people really think employers are THAT stupid? The best one ive heard in 5 months though is "i have to go to a funeral in 2 weeks"... my reply was "why are you planning on killing someone?"

I hate Mondays after a great weekend.
You could always go into work, throw up in a garbage can and get sent home. That gets you an extra day and lots of sympathy. :D |

| i had a manager that would call the house 3-4 times during teh day if you called in sick just to make sure u were actually at home sick :P |

that's just low... if you're a full time employee you are legally entitled to x number of sick days.. I'm not sure about part-time??? |

| people have various reasons not to come in to work. unless a person does this on a weekly basis i would be too concerned. sometimes a pert time worker should be given the benefit of the doubt. i mean they get paid too little and who cares if they call in sick. |

and usually you DON'T get paid if you call in sick if you're part time status, right??? |

First off you should have respect and responsibilty for ANY job you take. If you don't then you shouldn't be working.
The issue here is not that someone is sick. It's that they call in on sunday and say "I am sick so i cant come in tormorrow and im going to be sick on tuesday as well". How the hell do you know that? All day ive been joking with my cousin how im going to have a sudden case of measles at christmas and maybe next march i'll come down with pneumonia.

Sorry I had to come in late today. The rising temperatures outside caused the roads to unexpectedly expand, thereby increasing the distance between my home and the office by twice the original amount.
