The best stuff they played was the technoish tracks and the harder progressive tunes. The acid techno that mark played after was great as well. For the record i didnt hear any house from Mark except the first song which was a daft punk remix.

By the way i was behind F & P's final scratch all night so my tracklist bidding will start at $500.

LOL just kidding. ID NEVER SELL OUT A DJ ever.... But let me tell you that final scratch is a Light guy's dream come true because i can see exactly whats going to happen to a track before it happens. Even if Final Scratch does sound like (the sound quality of MP3s will never match a real CD or vinyl)

Don't most DJs rip CD or vinyl to an uncompressed audio format for most performance material? I've often seen this done many of the top DJs who extoll the virtues of the system. Same with a DJ who uses well-worn dubplates or dusty records, what you put into the performance in terms of quality source and storage of the media is critical to the quality of the show.

PvD, who is a self-admitted perfectionist when it comes to flawless presentation, points out that the huge advantage to spinning with the system while touring internationally, is that he doesn't have the hinderance and risk of carting his favourite catalogue of vinyl and other media, not to mention preserving the quality of sound as the original for ages longer than any vinyl or even CD could.

There is no doubt about the difference in sound quality between the MP3s and the cd/vinyl last night. As acting sound technician its my job to notice these differences. The MP3 set was very distorted and i kept having to turn the system down well below what i did when the other djs using vinyl and cd were on.

Im not sure if the format used was mp3 but the sound output was not that great. The set that they played though was really well put together.

Glad to hear that by all accounts, Filo & Peri rocked it out proper.

I regret I was not able to make it all the way up to Viva for their second performance in Toronto. I've missed two opportunities to catch a great show from these exceedingly talented guys... My own dumb luck. :sadgreen:

My feeling is that Toronto loves what is best described as the 'Filo & Peri Phenomenon', and we're bound to have them visit our city in the (hopefully near!) future.

Dudes, I'm sure you guys put on a great show for those able to make the trek out to see you. Just make sure you keep doing that crazy thing you do and we'll do our best to support you ;)

will a residencey for these guys at viva make everyone happy.
