So who runs the TVs that let you see what the DJs are doing? They were down for most of the night and the right one was flickering... Technical difficulties? |

| they are renovating and thus some of the stuff needs to be recalibrated. often we turn the tvs off to darken the club as well. |

Just wanted to shed some light on the "house".
I usually mix out of whatever the DJ before me is playing to keep the momentum going. If I'm following PVD, and he's banging out hard trance, then I'll start with some hard trance.
Last night, Filo & Peri ended their set with house, so I started mine with a house track which mixed out of their set without interrupting the flow. Many times people see a DJ behind the decks and it looks like he/she is playing, but in actual fact is waiting for the final track of the previous DJ's set to end.
The majority of the regular weekly crowd at Viva is fairly open-minded musically, but over the past few months have been demanding much more house and techno than in years past. Contrary to popular belief, most of the regular Viva crowd do not favour a whole night of trance. If the pure trance heads showed up en masse every week, I would stick to playing trance all night.
From what I heard of them, Filo & Peri were playing really well and I look forward to hearing them again.
Jayx1 did an awesome job (as usual) on the BIG lightshow.
