Sure, i agree - System doesn't really have the E-puddle or sketchy asian problem (it doesn't have the shirtless monkey problem that i've found at Boa and CZ either), but there have been nights when System has had it's share of sketch pads as well. My point is, when people who claim to love Boa start to bash The Guv, then it's only naturaly that Guv regulars are going to get irked by some of the comments. It's unfair really -- because the Guv is a lot bigger then Boa or System or any other club in TO, so when you notice things like sketcy people, it's only natural that there will be more. Plus, it makes sense to me anyway that if you have 6000 people in one place, the chances that negative element will affect you more is significantly higher then if you were at a small club.
Bottom line, most of the points here have been covered time and time again. Now one is really breaking any new ground. What does seem evident is that people have formed opinion camps and forgotten what's really important -- going out and having fun.
I've been to the Guv on really crowded nights and it's still been a blast, sketchy asians, barbie dolls, juice monkeys and all...Regarding the staff at the Guv -- well lets just put it this way, i wouldn't piss on any of them if they were on fire cause most of the bastards that work there are elitist pigs. But whatever, i don't really go there to interact with the dumbass staff -- for $10, i'm happy to brush aside the rudeness as an unfortunate by product of most of them being crackheads during their offtime. :p
Anyway, back to the NFL playoffs -- as entairtaining as this thread has been, you guys need to consider giving it a rest because no one is going to win. |

I agree completely. The point is, this argument has been completely warped into this "club wars" thing when what really set it off was someone's comment about the Guvernment not listening to complaints and their staff being a bunch of nuts. Max, being an employee at the Guv, took that personally (and unintentionally proved everyone else right) and had to chime in with his crap about "Of course Guv listens to complaints, I'm there every week so I know, and how could the Guv be so successful if their staff were such s".
So let's put this whole thing in perspective. I'm not intentionally engaging in any club wars or trying to mindlessly bash the Guvernment. I just said (and you agree) that their staff are a waste of skin and that they overpack the place - simple as that. The rest of this "debate" was dedicated to explaining to Max's dumb ass how the Guvernment could POSSIBLY be so "successful" without courteous staff and respect for safety bylaws.
I spend very little time bashing the Guvernment or talking about it at all. I just think it's idiotic how these people respond to every complaint about the Guvernment with logic that essentially amounts to "your complaint is not valid because the club is still making money", and I think that's a clear reflection on what kind of people work there. |

I wasn't the one who was trying to turn this into some GUV VS BOA thing and it was actually Floorwhore from BOA who highlighted the words "(GUV) puts their customers first" and then put up (WTF sign)in response and Xavier Moriarty also wanted to dispute my statement about GUV actually making changes for the people after I stated that both Charles from THE GUVERNMENT and Rony (Hani) from BOA were both hands on owners and that this was the way that things should be which was a complement to the way that BOTH THE GUVERNMENT and BOA were being runned so I can't see any way that I was trying to start up some sort of GUV VS BOA thing when I was complimenting both clubs.
You sit there and compare THE GUVERNMENT and BOA and say that there aren't any normal people at THE GUVERNMENT and how you have been to GUV and BOA many times and it's alot worse at THE GUV insinuating that it's so much better at BOA and that BOA is where all the normal people are at :rolleyes: :whip:
Funny how Diginutsucker tried to say that people have to stop spinning this into a comparision between BOA and THE GUVERNMENT when he just did that exact thing in the paragraph before :rolleyes: |
