You compare this to your dog dying??? Wow, either you don't love your dog that much, or you love Cox way too much...seriously, the guy's a good DJ, maybe even a great DJ, but he absolutely BLOWS when it comes to honouring his contracts, showing up, and so forth...I'm willing to bet he has the highest rate of cancellations out of all the top DJs in the world, and so doesn't merit the let-down he's caused you...get used to it with Coxy...now apologize to your dead dog :whip: :p

With all due respect to you and my dog, my post was obviously an exageration.. just as you are entitled to saying Carl Cox blows with his contracts, everyone else is entitled to their own opinion. Carl Cox is such a talented dj and i have still yet to see a live set so when i heard the news that he was coming to bal en blanc and then shortly after heard it was just another rumor, it was heartbreaking in a sense. Anyways.. not trying to beef with u but i just wanted to make it up to my poor, precious dog. :p |

Obviously, my reference to your dead dog was done in jest (thus the :p), and so I clearly understood it to be an exaggeration...I simply used it as a lead in to what I really wanted to say, which is criticize Cox. What I stated is not opinion, it's fact. It's a fact that he cancels many of his shows, and does so rather frequently. I've been victim of at least, if memory serves, three cancellations in the past 2 years, and I'm sure anyone on this board that's been into the scene long anough can attest to Cox's track record when it comes to that (not to mention his pompous attitude in general). I obviously understand that you would have wanted him to come since you hadn't seen him because like I stated above, he is a great DJ, but my point was simply that no one should be let down by Coxy since cancellations with him are to be expected. Anyway, I'm sure your dog can R.I.P. now :p |
