Okay, now that I've calmed down. Guys, honestly give Benny B a chance. He does have the whole "gino" reputation thing going but his music is MUCH more than that. Trust me, just give the guy a few songs and you won't stop dancing.
He will prove himself to you nonbelievers. :P
With that said, it is somewhat weak compared to PVD and Armin but, it'll be a party to remember. |

| Not to say I like it that Benny B is hte 2nd 'headliner' in the trance room, but we can be more optimistic than saying its terrible... I mean the guy plays decently from what I understand... I did read some reviews, and its not like he plays Satisfaction over in a loop... The style got commercialized but from his playlist on his website (www.bennybenassi.com) seems like he plays a decent group of music... Although again, was expecting better, I in no way am expecting to hear pop (although I do agree the name is as pop as can be). |

my thoughts exactly. If the management wanted to bring a big event to the mainstream, who better than benny b (puke) and tiesto (cheese)?
while we may not be happy at ALL, I'm sure the majority of the average clubbers will be very excited. Plus I'm sure it will attract ppl that wouldn't normally go to afterhours/big events.
That said, thank the LORD I didn't buy my ticket yet. Cuz this lineup is crap now.
It went downhill from the beginning! Rumours about Lawler, then Cox, then some ppl saying techno headliner (Liebing?), finally ending up with benny b, tiesto, deep dish and morales. big disappointment. |

ok maybe I shoudl listen to some livesets...Maybe he is really good...but i guess he just did his stuff in the wrong order??...I guess he should have proved himself as a good dj b4 releasing a pop clubby track...kinda like le contraire of deep dish with flashdance..?? je sais pas...
I swear though that if I hear Satisfaction being played at BEB I'm goign to scream and kill everyone!

Bahh I doubt he'll play Satisfaction, and if he does he'll put a nice twist to it. I'm gonna get flamed hardcore for this but I saw him live at DOME (hehe this should go over well) and he was really talented! He read the crowd well and played some sick stuff. You'll all be surprised. ;D
And for those of you who're worried about the crowd that'll come with Benny need not worry. The guys that put together BEB want to attract as MANY people as possible. It's easy to see that the best way to do this is not cater themselves towards just ONE type of crowd. They have the house room with DD which attracts one sort of crowd and then they have the trance room which attracts a completely different type of people. More people = a better party. ;D
If we can deal with the six foot seven conan the barbarian types, I'm quite sure we can handle pepped up italians. |

Good point about the type of crowd this will attract. The last thing we need is pushy clubbers whose sole purpose that evening will be to pick up. Yay for everyone :rolleyes:
