Why do men hate "queers"?

I won't use the 'f' word. That's just gross, I rank it down there with that 'c' word. But seriously, I'm so utterly sick and tired of hearing "I hate s." All I have to say to that is, "Why?".
It's such a tired phrase too. Ignorant. Prejudice. Stupid.
Now, I'm not attacking anyone here. Not even those ignorant to post b.s. like that on this board. I'm attacking the idea, questioning its logic. For those of you who do hate homosexuals, I want you to ask yourself why you do. You'll come up blank, I hope. THere are no real reasons, just ignorance and fear. Do you guys think that all homosexuals are going to hit on you? Are you that full of yourself? Why would a gay spend time hitting on poor, insignigcant you? They don't, at least the majority of them.
Now, I'm not gay.. I don't go to parades to support them, rallies, etc.. but I do support their choice. this 'God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve' bull. that attitude, if God wants it that way, then Him too. Human equivalence is what is going to keep us alive for these next hundred years. These tiny, moronic, pointless ideas between our fellow humans are what will be the end of us.
I ask you, are you racist? You'll say no, most likely. But you are, if you think that a homosexual/lesbian is any less of a person than you, and therefore earns your scorn or hatred. You are the lesser person. You deserve their hatred, and mine.

I wholeheartedly agree with you! Sometimes, however, newly declared gays get on my nerves because they show that eagerness to confront people with their sexuality. I feel like they're trying to provoke a (positive or negative) reaction of their surroundings - but maybe that's just me.
I guess you won't find many homphobics at these boards - after all the gay community and the club scene has a long history together and are IMO now a essential part of each other. |

I agree with you, as well.
'Flamers' that just act extravigantly gay are annoying.. but I still don't hate them. I just want to punch them. :D Not in a fag-bashing way..:D
As for the scene.. true. :p ..well.. I wouldn't say an essential part.. because this scene would be the same.. with or without gays. I'm not quite sure what you meant..:conf:

As you might have noticed, I'm from Holland. Around here, we're rather tolerating, or at least we think we are. Therefore in the big cities people have no problem with it, but in the country area (villages) it's definetely not generaly accepted.
Personnally, I dont mind If somebody gay, as long as:
- They dont bug me with it, cause I'm definitely not gay (brr, only the idea)
- They dont show it off with al those weird clothing and stoff like that, or the gaygames.
What I find a real serious thing around here as well is this: gay people can life together (registred!), marry (!!) and, here it comes:
ADOPT CHILDREN(!!!!!!!!) . This last thing is one of THE most stupid things my government has ever decided. Because children dont want tobe different (at least I dont). They want to have a mom and dad just like everybody, and not 2 moms or 2 dads. They really are going to get trouble with that later in their lives, and they haven't chosen for this live (adopted, remember). This really pisses me, makes me VERY angry.
ps. lesbians is something different: I hate to see 2 beautiful women sleep together: thats 2 less for the men out there...:D

well i personally have nothing against the gay community.. i've worked in a hair salon/spa for two years with 90% of gay co-worker males.. i remember that when some of my guy friends will come over to visit me at work.. i'd have like a gay co-worker.. say stuff like.. "uhh ,who is that??"...
"introduce me to him"... i thought it was like so cute and funny...and i got to know them so well. they would even tell me about their sexual life with their boyfriends.. it was so cool cause they'd always ask me for advice and stuff.. I guess u have to get to know their way of life to actually have respect for them... and no i dont think that gay guys attack other guys when they know they are not gay.. thats something that they just dont do.
NOW.. another story.. I kinda grew up with this girl (maria)... we were like bestest friends...and she had boyfriends before.. but one day she just turned GAY.. out of the blue.. just like that.. she dumped the guy to be with this girl... but she didnt want to be with that girl for a long time.. and guess who she fell in love with???
.. yup.. ME...
did i lose respect for her?? NOPE.. she is still my friend..we talk on the phone all the time ...she still is a great friend...but i do try to avoid being alone with her or being around her ...
because she doesnt like me as a friend.. she likes me as more than that..it is just weird...but i dont avoid her because shes a lesbian...i just dont want to be around her cause she starts talking about her feelings.. and i dont want to deal with it..

Today's society is much more accepting (it is a slow process).. but I expect (hope) that in 10 years, people won't think like you.

well you have to be more open minded in the fact people arent all from the same place (culture, country, etc.). in some cases it would be very difficult STILL to grow up that way. im not gonna say that have 2 male parents or 2 female parents would be a bad thing - im just saying that some cultures are more accepting to this kind of setup. i feel that it would be almost impossible to grow up in many parts of the US completely normal with homosexual adoption. and id have to think the same would prolly be true in parts of Canada as well.
you cant call people insecure and ignorant and then deem them not worth the time...if Spartak was here speaking his mind, then maybe you could teach something, or at least respond civilly...late/

people who call people racist for being homophobic or whatever r a bit hypocritical, because in essence, your being racist to them saying theyre all lesser persons. at the end of the day if anyone could do what they want and nobody was allowed to stop them becuase its letting them do what they want in there life anyone cud do nothing. ad at the end of the day racism, homophobism or any other "isms" being looked down upon is a form of religious pregudice jsut because its what sum1 belives, its when you say all the homophobes shud be shot etc it when ur jsut hitler in disguise. people can have prejudice against says gays for example, as long as they dont go around killing people because they will be acting on opinion, you can have an opinion but its not right to act on it as if it were fact. thats like all you amerivcans hate the afghans, even though it was jsut one man who organised that tragic event, yet others take the blame because of beliefs as if the whole of the afghan population co-ordinated the terrorist attcks. at the end of the day a coin has two sides, and both of them r the sam. btw i dont have predudice against gays, my best mate is gay, so dont try in flame me for knocking s, im merely stating that theres no difference between being racist and hating racists.
ps. the word racist was used her to simbolise prejudice against a pertiular group on society, and not jsut racism based on skin colour.
pps. im atheiest, and acting on logic and not opinion like homosexual and homophobe haters do. |
