Dood, its not about being religious.
Your personlality is your soul, your being - who you are.
Therefore, everyone has a soul.

Yeah, I think part of the problem is lack of discipline (and respect for this country) on part of the parents. The "old wave" of immigrants was not like this; my Polish friend said his dad would smack him upside the head whenever he started speaking Polish in front of a mixed (English) group. They were used to the hard life, they were used to their wealth coming and going, and they had respect, because among other things they seemed to remember the reasons why they LEFT their home country. They came to Canada because they wanted to make a better life for themselves and their family and were willing to make any sacrifices to do it.

"New wave" immigrants only come here because they're obsessed with the socialism and "multiculturalism" and think that they can carry on exactly as they did in their home countries with the exception of actually having to work or do anything hard (like learn English). That's why their kids become little snots running around touting that bullcrap.

Note that I am not referring specifically to anyone here, or their families - it's just an observation I've made in my own life that has proven itself true many many times.

I totally agree.

And enough people moving to the ing GTA - the urban sprawl of identical housing developments is making me sick. Moreover, the boom of Toronto can only last so long, as any thing to do with economics runs in cycles, and one day Toronto will come crashing down. Detroit, what!

the signs are already there that we are becoming the next Detroit. But still we insist on raising property and business taxes so that we can give wine and smokes to the homeless :whip: :whip:

country pride in general is stupid.

it's just another way to manipulate people into such things as war by creating another psychological obstacle to the fact that we are all human beings on this planet.

Our nationality is really meaningless because at the core all humans are the same, and nationality is just another measure... like religion, race, status, used to distinguish ourselves and help solidify our egos.

gimme a break... how can your "soul" be derived from a geographic region? better yet, first define "soul", given the fact that it is one of the most non-literal words used in western culture.
