funny thing is that Americans hate on soccer and get offended when we call it football, but the Soccer came from the word association football.
And if it soccer then why every damn team is a football club and not soccer club? |

*shrug* Yea not many Americans appreciate soccer (myself included, but I really don't like any sports for that matter), but I used to play it in grade school to middle school. And yea, most of the "real" athletes that play American football, basketball, etc. would do horrible in soccer, and most soccer athletes world-wide wouldn't know what they're doing in basketball or American football either. It goes both ways.

I wouldn't go that far though :/ and the NFL is probably the biggest athletic enterprise of any sport, so I don't know why you're hating on it so much when there are plenty of people that like it.

i didnt say regionally popular, i was getting at overall popular. i agree with you that Phil collins, sting, maybe elton, ozzy, the beatles, zeppelin are all FAR superior to the nowadays. but your line of thought suggesting that because 'football' is the most popular sport in the world means it is the best is faulty logic. |
