What a useless thread. Where are the smart, interesting, professional Reason users when I need them? :whip:

Found this on the propellerheads site as well.
"Unfortunately, there is a severe problem with the "Keyboard Control" function in Reason 3.0 (the function that was called "Keyboard Remote" in previous Reason versions).
The problem appears if you have set up Keyboard Control mappings (assigned computer keyboard keys to Reason parameters), and you then change these mappings by using "Clear Keyboard Control Mapping" or by replacing one mapping with another.
When you do this, the Keyboard Control mappings may change unpredictably. This in turn may lead to mappings that don't make sense, internally. In the worst cases, this can lead to Reason crashing or showing error messages when you delete devices or browse patches.
The Keyboard Control mappings are stored in the song. This means that if you have made Keyboard Control changes in Reason 3.0 as described above and saved the song, that song can potentially lead to Reason crashing. Songs with no Keyboard Control mappings are not affected by the problem"
Don't have my copy yet. But there is obviously some issues with the CPU problems as well. Maybe I will wait for the patches to arrive. |

GOOOD idea.
Yea i am waiting for them to fix the sound... the mapping is bad, but i don't have a fanzy-schmanzy midi controller... YET.

Tried it out and am currently undecided. The Combinator is the only new feature I can really praise right now. I can now create a synth/percusion loop, stick effects and processing on it, save it in the combinator, and open the synth/loop in another track with effects and processing still intact.
The mastering suite seems like a bit of a dissapointment. The MClass equalizer is definitly better then the crappy little 2 band EQ. The stereo imager, limiter and compressor however I'm still undecided on. |

To tell the truth, am not planning to buy Reason 3.0. Neither warez it.
I just can't be arsed to waste my time on things that i don't need.
Combinator..well what i need that for? to layer sounds? i can do that without it. And i hardly layer tbh.
If i wanne layer samples, i can use the NN-XT.
Mastering unit.
Well , i think i made some decent sounding tracks in 2.5 and i can keep doing that. So what will a Mastering class unit do for me?
Am saying these things because am dissapointed in props. I expected really new things, new synths, new reverbs or delays..stuff that not only improve productions but also makes them sound different.
I really hoped for an Absynth like synth or Albino 2. 2-3 years of waiting and they didn't really make any effort.
I have no opnion on Reason 3.0 i just don't want it.

Yup. Thanks massive. I'm not going to buy it. I think I'm going to stick with 2.5 for now. And use protools for mastering... :-/
