Lastly I've read a little bit about many different religions, and to be quite frank I just don't agree with many of the philosophies. I'm still fairly spiritual, but religious I am not. I will have my moment with god if he/she does exist. Until then I will lead a true life to myself, not to a proposed higher being. |
Well n said. I like the way you think. |

athiesm = perfect for feeding the capitalistic devil :p (I know commies were athiest ;) )
what's even more worrying, are alot of those new born again christians with all their crazy new sects :nervous:
maybe it's all just a plan?
trick the young into athiesm with being cool and all, and when they are old and confused with spiritial void, seduce them into those crazy sects ? :D
sorry to hijack your thread :whip:, but couldn't resist :D |

hmmm 90% seems to be a bit too high. i would say probably about 15 to 20 %. |

I can't see your brain, does that mean it doesn't exist? ;) |

Personally I don't care what religion people are or if you believe in God or not. As drgoodvibe stated... I too consider myself to be a spiritual person but religious I am not.
I don't have a problem with anyone choosing to be part of a particular religion and I never question their intentions or beliefs as it is really none of my business. My view is that if you are a good person and have a passion for something in life that really matters to you and helps you understand the world around you then that is your business and you should embrace that no matter what anyone else tells you. Spirituality and religion are personal matters so if they add something of value to you and don't affect my personal beliefs or get in the way of me living my life how I choose to live it then it doesn't matter what you choose to believe in. If you know in your heart that it is what is best for you then no one should be able to tell you any different.
Some people need religion to help define who they are which is no different to how we use other labels throughout our lives(what music we listen to, what nationality we are, what language we choose to speak, your personality traits, what brand name of clothes we opt to buy) to help define who we are. We are all really in search of the same things in life... happiness, fullfillment, sense of belonging etc etc. Spirituality should come from within, whether you put a label on it or not only you can decide what will help you get thru life with real purpose. I tend to avoid religious specific threads and any discussions that come up about religious labels because everyone has a right to believe in something and just because I don't understand or support it doesn't make it wrong for someone else. |

no, it means that there is no "visual" proof 15 to 20 % of the time when it comes to proving someting in science. rj said that it can be 90% of the time that there is no "visual" proof. it means that whatever you cant see with your eyes , then that object does not exist. i hope it makes sense now. lol. |

some people believe that there's no God because you can't see him. you can't see air, yet we still breathe.
amen. |

i got proof for that. if theres no air we cant breathe, can we? of course we breathe because there is "air". its called oxygen! |
