lol...i love the fact taht u actually DO have an understanding of faiths...
props on that account...
and yes as u said before... "Leave my Atheism alone and I'll leave their Theism alone", however, unlike u, the rest of the Atheist find the need to put down the theists which is disrespect to someone as a human...its like that bully in highschool that was actually the dumbest kid in the lot but made the smartest one look stupid.. |

going back into celebrations, for example, a practicing catholic rejoices teh fact that God was born and lived amongst his people as compared to one who doesnt practice and celebrates santa claus and exchanging gifts without knowing the significance |
But the problem is, the reward for having that celebration is based on the previous requirement that the need to celebrate it in such a way exists! I don't feel the need to pray on sundays, so doing so would give me no fulfillment. I don't rub my legs in itching powder so I can fulfilled by scratching them. |

i acutally agree w/ this. if its against the chruches belief system, then fine. they have that right. im 100% hardcore pro gay marriage, but not pro on forcing it upon churches and whutnot that dont support it. i leave them to beleive and act as they wanna.
im just pro that the state marries gays and lesbians and that they will recognzie their marriage as normal and valid.
like u said about a black man trying to join the KKK, im sorry, u cant. itd be similar to me going to a catholic high school in town and getting upset that they dont sell condoms in their washrooms like at the public one. No, birth control like condems goes against their beliefs, and since im in THEIR environment i dont have a right to bitch about it. |

Heheh... not the school's fault though. As long as people can choose what school to go to, I don't have a problem with them doing whatever the hell they want. It's not like in Quebec where they can force you to go to a French school if you're a Francophone. |

Actually... this one time I got really freaked out by the Catholic schoolteachers. It must have been back in about grade 9 or 10... we had to go play a chess game against the team from a Catholic high school and it was Ash Wednesday... and I saw this teacher with what looked like a christian cross TATTOOED ONTO HIS FOREHEAD! It creeped me out soooo much. Our whole team was talking about it during the drive back to school. I later found out what it was, but it freaked me out. I was like... "burning symbols into their foreheads... isn't that what CULTS do???" I honestly couldn't stop staring at him. It was really really creepy.
Just a lesson in what ignorance can do to your opinion of other people. |
