is it just me or are men becoming less and less agressive/confrontational these days? for some reason it just seems like all the females i know are more confrontational and "in your face" when they feel they've been screwed over, and all the men just crawl under a rug and hide.
and no i'm not trying to be all like, "i am woman hear me ROAR"...i'm not like that, but it's just a funny observation.
my dad, my 2 bosses, the guy i work with (file clerk) and my boyfriend... (i'm just listing all the men that i see and talk to on a daily basis) they are ALL pushovers... i mean i love them (dad and boyfriend), don't get me wrong, but when you won't even send a $50 overcooked filet mignon back because you ordered it rare, then there's a problem. it's like why are they all scared to "make a scene". i know women can be drama queens, but at least we stick up for ourselves.
like the other day my bf and i went to the cell phone store cuz his broke and the chick comes back from the back and she's like, "ok sir, we're not going to be able to replace it with that exact model, is that ok?"
my boyfriend: "yea sure"
i was like umm hello?! are u even going to make sure it's of equal or more value and has the same features and stuff as your other one? i gave him a a look and like whispered it and i could tell he was like, "jesus shut up will ya"! then he goes to her, "yea umm, it's going to have the same features right?" lol
i dunno maybe it's a chick thing. i just always seem to be the one fighting for us to get good service at a restaurant, or get refunds on some crap we got sold, or arguing w/ the airline for making us miss our flights and then getting a voucher...u know that sort of stuff.
guys are always just like, "yea whatever". |

I don't know. I'm pretty laid-back, myself. Food would have to be completely ruined for me to send it back, because it's not in my nature to complain a lot. My mom will bitch about her food and I just get embarassed.
On the other hand, once something really pisses me off, I'll be very confrontational. I think I told you about that girl, Betty, a long time ago. Well, she pissed me off on a ski trip and I haven't talked to her since. I see her out and about, but I don't bother talking to her. |

| I totally agree with your observation Slylee and it bothers me. It's not that I don't like seeing women stand up for themselves, but seeing all these men act like such pussies (does that term even make sense anymore?) makes me a little bit embarassed to have the same set of gonads. |

Well I definitely wouldn’t want to be seen as a “complainer” because I don’t like bitch and moan all the time at restaurants and stuff.
But this was Valentine’s Day dinner at like a super expensive steak house that is supposedly rated in the top 10 best steak houses in the country and it was like ing burned…and he ordered it rare. I was like oh my god baby send it back and he was like no whatever. Normally I would have called over the waiter and sent it back right away despite what he said (lol)…I would never be a bitch about it unless the waiter copped an attitude with me first, but I decided to bite my tongue because I didn’t want to make a “scene” on Vday. |
