coup on jamies:

i had a great time. cool to meet some foreign ta's. i met alot more of u than i remember, took me 2hrs to realise it was goodnet who said hi and i was just like "oh hey" and ignored him lol.

one thing i was a little dissapointed about was the attitute of the general women there (not margs or any we went with) but if i ever started talking to any of the women they just looked down on me with a snotty attitute. it wasnt until i mentioned this to del and eric that they said thats the norm, shame.

my ears are ruined.

-entrance:
awesome! I expected a nice long line since everyone has to purchase tickets at door, but it moved very quick. We waited 10-15mins. Coat check was was also a breeze

-KH:
awesome. plenty of room as always and I was comfortably able to boogie to the sweet sounds of chable and seaman around what seemed to be a really nice crowd

-Guv:
I was at the sole location I could see myslef surviving in that place - front of the main stage. I honestly dont see how people can possibly enjoy themselves being anywhere in the center of main dance floor....that is brute!!!! Ferry was good as always. The guv crowd rather high on aging, stoned asians(I guess because it was a regular cover night). There was one, probably 30-40 years old, shirtless and on stage doing the most retarded, crippled $hit with glow sticks. He then just pauses and has this looks on his face like he was transported to another dimension. It was pretty sad, but kinda funny...but more sad. Oh well, they dont really bother me so i dont know why i'm so hatefull.

bumped into starsearcher(1st time),nrg2infinity, RJ, and theBroad(1st time).

anyway, overall it was an excellent night

peace

Met my 2 friends (for the 1st time) from Ohio out front, Sean (atrayn22) and his gf Amy. Can u BELIEVE that they fell victim to a scam of someone selling the 'ladies in free b4 1am' pass for $15, that were handed out for free by promoters!?!? :whip: lucky for them, they got in on my line bypass, otherwise they woulda missed the 1am cutoff in the reg. line. Thanks a million John for the hookups.

Started off in the KH, overwhelmed at all the faces to say hi to. Chable was on I guess- I remember him dropping that awesome track-'swing to symphony' or something. I love that song!

Took the visitors on tour of the club, and landed in the Guv for Mark's set. He was bangin! Left the Ohio kids in the crowd, I ventured for some breathing room. Ferry came on at 2:30- room became even MORE of a sauna & sardine can- no where to enjoy the set. Lost Trigger in the process (where'd u go?). Headed off to the KH for relief.

Grayarea was on at this point- i swear they announced they were "Motley Crue from Los Angeles" (and i'm not the only person who heard this, and I was 100% sober). Never heard them b4, REALLY enjoyed their set and energy. Found out that these guys grew up in the hardcore/ punk scene too. Their stage presence totally showed that, esp. when the singer came down in the crowd and sang. HARDCORE!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVED THEM!

Then, Josh Gabriel- set of pure bliss! (minus the power outage mid-set). "here is the house", various remixes of "beautiful things", "Mindcircus"!!!, and closed w/ "As the Rush Comes", < and can u believe that for this 1st time ever, this song did NOT annoy me???? I was even singing to it! Definitely due to the fact that we haven't heard it in a long time.

Then, back to the Guv- more room in there now. Came in during "Rock your body". Saw some more people i hadn't seen yet. Found the Ohio kids again, having the time of their lives. Danced for a bit, went upstairs, got into the booth to say hi to Ferry & grab some pics, then hopped into the Drink (finally) to say bye to some TA's, and then headed out.

STRANGENESS:

-midieval wrestler guy with blue beard and glowing outfit- can't bash him tho, cuz he was all smiles. :D

- asian dude who danced with water bottle on his head all night.

PLUSES:
-As usual, all the TA's - there are FAR to many of us to name, so to everyone I saw, big hug & kiss to you all.

-visuals & cool temps in the KH for relief.

-guys in the orange 'F-E-R-R-Y' shirts on stage.

MINUS POINTS:
-as expected, crowdedness in the Guv. Wasn't expecting it to be that HOT this time of year yet. Place needs better ventilation. Crobar in NY gets just as packed & its cool as a fridge in there. Also, only spotted my own boyfriend on 2 occasions, for only seconds each time. That many people...

-sound in the KH. Is your sound technician deaf, or something? FFS...

-no 1-way traffic, no access to the Drink til after 4am (wasn't it 'all access'??)
- - - - - - - - - - -

Jason- sorry to hear about your 'incident'. You are FAR too nice. Most of us woulda killed someone for that .

El Kay Dee- once and for all, STOP DRINKING!!! You become such an ass, and a violent one, to people you barely know, for nothing. Grow the up! You've done this sorta HOW many times now? Everyone here is FAR too nice and sweeps it under the rug, excusing you because you're drunk. In the end, you only make yourself look stupid. It's no excuse any more. If u can't control yourself, dont make us suffer as a result. Try that in the real world, where people aren't as sypathetic as us, and you'll find yourself in the hospital, in jail or worse.

So I really really really needed to study but I opted to go. Sober night, with the plan to leave at 4, which is exactly what we did. Me and my partners in crime (Ryan aka. mindspin, Nema, John, Sheena, Mike, Palmer) got to the club just as Luke Chable was coming on and wow he was throwing it down. His style was a very uplifting progressive house with heavenly vocals and beautiful synth lines.

Then came on Dave Seaman. I've seen Dave spin a few times before and he's hit or miss. Last night, definately a hit. Anyone who believes they can ID a track, I've got a short video clip that needs the track ID'ed for me. SO good.

Yah, me and my friends checked out Harry for a bit. Not long at all though. The Drink was exceptionally crowded when we got there around 1:30 to hear the start of his set. It was warm in some places, kinda cool in others, but the smoke machine was TOO much. The beats were good but we didn't have room to dance so we opted to get back into the Kool Haus for some Dave Seaman.

We got back to Seaman only to see the Tranceaddict corner diminishing. Still grooved for a while before me and my buds headed into the Guv to meet up with our 4 other friends for the opening of Ferry's set. The guv was packed, it smelled god aweful (only notice it when you're sober) and after one excellant track, the rest of ferry's opening wasn't enough to keep me in the Guv.

Now, back to the Kool Haus to hear who I wanted to hear....GRAYAREA

They came on with a bang and one of the sweetest breakbeats I've ever heard. I love the breaks and these just resonated through me and they pumped new energy into my system. Grayarea are not only talented but fun to watch live too. Despite all these positives, there was one negative that put down the ENTIRE set of theirs.....sound. From my understanding, they didn't arrive at the club in time to do a sound check, and while seaman was playing, they still hadn't arrived in Toronto. They made their 3 o'clock set time in the nick of time. The lack of soundcheck dissapointed me greatly as I was on the dancefloor feeling my hearing diminishing. BRUTAL. The vocals were too high they sounded like squeeks and the bass was so distorted. I've waited so long to hear them live and it got to the point that I couldn't bare the damage to my ears. Had to leave.

So we burned a doob and left the club. My buddy Nema was dead tired and he was driving so we couldn't say no. We walked out of the club with a smile from ear to ear on every one of us saying "wow, what an unexpectedly awesome night, this sober thing is great".

Wicked running into and seeing alot of TA's.

Jamie (Jem_Hadar): man you were ed. Half the time you'd move in to talk to me you'd headbutt the side of my face. LOL.
Andrea (chanoa): So hot, so fluid, you exemplify everything that is eye candy. You're such a sweety too.
Alex (ub3rtrancer): wow man, you're a solid dancer, good seeing you too
Lars (Peppie Chick): Always a pleasure, loved the hat.
Eric (VividBoy) and Marco (Rodrico): Good times chillin with you guys in line. When we parked, I saw a new civic drive by and recognized eric, wasn't certain though till 5 minutes later when you join us in line.
RJ (rabbitjoker): Thanks for the shaving tips.
Aaron (DJ Celica): thanks for the pics man, solid!
Liam (DJ EL KAY DEE): Thanks for kicking me in the leg fu.cker
:whip: LOL, the best part is, you got me 4 times and I kept looking right over you trying to find out who's kicking me. You short SOB (no offense to short people, I love you all)

All the other TA's: [NFC]Wave (Scan and post the autograph card), DJ Kandaio, DancingQueen, Cuzo, dance2dabeat, drgoodvibe (Can't wait to see your pics), E2EKIAL, Shaya (hope the person in the ambulance was alright), fayraree (Excellant vibe dude, and believe me, that picture thread made me more familiar with faces than I ever though possible), Highroller, Shanny, StereoPrincess, SurrJRS, fn_xtc, Tordan, Cale, nadezhda, Spankmeister, music_snob_not, Gamma, I hope I didn't miss anybody. Blue. - I saw you from a distance but didn't know for certain, I shoulda said hi. I think you were leaving around the same time as me. photon_trance (senko): I'm pretty sure I saw you in the kool haus smoking pit but once again, didn't say hi, my bad.

Note about the LKD fiasco: LKD's can actually be a really nice guy, he was nice enough to invite me to dinner with Zabiela, and from a post above, he was nice enough to buy Rodrico a drink. I think instead of a handshake, he's got a destructive side to him when intoxicated, but he's just horsing around. Sometimes that can be a lot to tolerate, but you gotta look beneath the surface of it.

:)
