Just checked out Grayarea's website ( http://www.graylabel.net/ ) and found out they're playing at the HFStival in Baltimore (a concert i'm very tempted to go to), and ALSO at Buzz the night b4. This may solidify the deal...
http://www.hfstival.com/lineup
the dance tent will have mostly DnB acts. |

I do not post that much and never bother with reviews, but this was such a good night for me I have to post. First off I am no great fan of Guv even thought I seem to go there about once a month, simply because they book some of the best Trance DJ's in the World.
Arrived around 1am with my friend Greg, line moved quick, now my friend loves to play with YoYo's and pulled one out to amuse himself in the line, turns out the guy directly behind us in line is a proffesional championship YoYo player, and preceeds to teach my friend some new tricks, what are the odds of that? Coat check was a breeze. Gave my friend a tour of the whole place. Settled into main room ready for Ferry to come on, yes it was crowded but I really found it not that bad compared to Paul Oakenfold last November which was truely insane. Ferry was truely amazing getting off to a great start, around 3:30am switched over to Koolhaus to catch Grayarea, I have a couple of their live sets from http://www.hybridized.org/, and love listening to them, was curious what they would be like live. Wow I was not disappointed, caught the rest of thier set, not crowded at all and made a good break from the main room. Then back to Guv to party to Ferry for the rest of the night, truely amazing, Ferry was just so good! Even the attitude I usually hate from some of the crowd at Guv seemed to be non-existant, met some great new people, very friendly ended up party with them most of the rest of the night. Ferry just kept the energy going all night, never got tired could have dancing until the end but my friend wanted to leave around 6:45am. Spent about 3/4 of an hour trying to exchange contact info with I think his name was Matt, and totally screwed it up because it was so loud. If you happen to be on here and read this, message me here,(I was the guy in Orange shirt you were wiping your glasses on all night with the blue tie) would love to party with you again, you were really cool, and so were your friends.
In summary the best night I have ever had at Guvernment, so glad I went. |

Here was the funny as text messaging that went on between me & Sean (from Ohio) today:
Sean: We didn't kiss last night did we?
Me: What?! LOL! No... Was someone imagining things?
Sean: Amy thought maybe we did. LoL! Sorry.
Me: Stay off drugs kids ;) |

FAAAAAAANTASTIC NIGHT!
Arrived in line just after 10, made it in around 10:30 and proceded to get half drunk waiting for people to show up. Lost all of my friends on the dancefloor. I blame the fog, they went buckwild on the last night. I was rescued by Kelly who lead me to Karen, Cale, Dan, Aaron and Andrew. (Kelly I love the red in your hair by the way). Danced it up straight through Dave Seaman's set. Excellent music, couldnt stop moving. Poor Dan got shafted by his bank and had ZERO funds for the evening, so I bailed him out like the great guy I am hahaha.
Moved to the Guv shortly before 2:30. Was crammed in there like a sardine! Ferry absolutly blew my mind! (I expected nothing less) Was waiting soooo long to hear Digital Punk...went SICK when he played it.
Really good to meet DJ Celica and NuEra. Good times hangin out with you guys. Always a pleasure to see Josh. Its awesome being able to put faces behind the names here on the forums.
And as usual, twas great bustin a move with Karen, Cale, Dan and Kelly.
Stayed till 7:30 when my legs gave out. Got home just after 8 and took the longest shower ever :)
Took a -load of pics. Will post soon. |

All I can say is Ferry Corsten is the man. I wish I could have stayed longer - especially since he dropped Out of the Blue... Oh well, perhaps next time.
Good to see you TAs again - not happy to hear what happened to j_spot... That's just not cool and so cowardly. :whip: |
I'm waiting on hearing the rest of your story man....Next time we're out smoking I expect to hear the end of it...
And if it was a TA who made my boy feel threatened and leave Ferry's performance early I'll kick your ass! |
