Yep indeed. My mom was married by 17
by 25, she had her 4th kid (me) and still proceeded to have one more. Im 25 and dont have any.
I think another main difference between then and now, is that back then sex was for procreation and having kids and families. The majority of times, the first person you slept with was the last and only person you slept with and if you did sleep with anybody else, you were "a bad person"
In these times, Sexuality is much more accepted. Therefore some kids wnat to get into it faster. Its not about having kids. Its about exploring yourself and your pleasures and feeling things that were never able to be experience before because it was taboo.
Some people still feel this way, others choose to go out and experiment. Ive said it beforeIf your mature enough to handle the consequences, then by all means...enjoy. If you feel you cant handle the emotions and the trouble that comes with exploring your sexuality, then so be it as well!!!
(Personally, Id rather sleep with somebody who knows how they like it and what they're doing rather than somebody whos just shy and timid and dont know what theyre doing ;) ) |
