i think the conservatives should be given a chance. If they up we can just get rid of them in 4 years. but who knows, we may just be pleasently surprised. All i know is nothing is going to change if we keep these current liberals in power.

Jayx1 - you mentioned your dad was Liberal (?)

If not for this mess now - is that what you would vote or have you always been Conservative leaning??

i always voted reform/conservative only because i believe that the whole political system in canada needs to be restructured. Id like to see what the conservatives can do for our country. Like i said if they are just as bad then its time to dismiss them as well.

My dad isnt a liberal. He votes all over the map. He voted liberal last time but the recent events such as sponsorship has changed that. He was still in the maybe column until he made that deal with layton. That really set him off.

yeah mine too - I remember meeting Chretien at a Young Liberal function at a Yatch Club we belonged to in '91.....I was pretty active with them Protested Mulroney when he came to town in 88/89.....FREE CANADA/TRADE MULRONEY.....hahaha! and of course the was the whole Tainted Tory Tuna banner thing happening.....It felt good to be a part of something that gave us a voice....ya know???

yup... too bad about the liberals. They could be a great party. Lots of unused talent. Thats why they need to be reset so to speak. If we vote in the conservatives we will truely have some real choices next time around i think.

yeah I was really hoping that having the 3 M's (Martin/McGuinty/Miller) woulda been a good thing for all of us....but despite this politcal mess right now....I don't think the conservatives will win it.......Canadians have a history of letting things go until they get really pissed and actually go out and vote!!!!!...this whole jockeying at the moment is really taking the momemtum out of things....people I don't think are as pissed at the LIberals as they were with Mulroney......I think we will see that in the votes cast......I think people see this as a type of "Nepitism" and/or "creative accounting" this kinda thing happens in business all the time "if you scratch my back....." and it the older business people that are controlling alot of the interests at hand here....they know that this is part of the BUSINESS landscape - and I am sure CEO's if they aren't should be afraid of the measures that I am sure to come into effect after this plays out....more accountability for money spent......even the Conservative "BIG BUSINESS" wigs must be kinda nervous and shouldn't be tooting their horns too loud.......My father was a VP of Finance for a major corporation and believe me - they have the hardest job - the always falls on them to create MAGIC!!!

The thing is that they got caught and they need to be punished. And then the system needs to be straightened out so it never happens again or is at least less likely to happen.
