What does politics have to do about the music then? Socializing is life. Besides, where in the rules does it specify that the toronto general forum is about ONLY the music. The music discussion exists on a whole nother portion of this message board. Call my posts crap, but I never posted this stuff with the intent to offend. Offensive is crap posts.
I'm only stressin cause I'm sick of some tards who think I'm "ignorant" putting words in my mouth all the time. Learn to argue. Besides, I ing owned Jayx1 in that one cuba vs. a "free" latin america argument. He couldn't back up credibly. Just like all of his arguments.
I guess you can call this my crap post of the day.

First off, let me say that I understand your gripes with how some people turn everything political.
Music and Politics are separate. And yes, we all talk about non-EDM stuff in TOTA. However, this is the Local Scene (Toronto) forums and you post something that has nothing to do with toronto, anyone living in toronto, or anyone directly connected to you. Furthermore, the post was not even humorous. What I'm saying is that in no way does this thread even minutely add anything to TOTA. To clarify, I usually enjoy your posts and at times find them intelligent. My previous post was not a comment on all of the posts you have made on TA, but on this thread, solely.
I was merely trying to give you some advice that has proven true to me. If you respect the guidelines of the forums, threads will stay on topic. For instance, a thread about some hott overseas waif would never have turned to politics in the CORe. But when you disregard the forum guidelines, you create a sense of anarchy where anything goes; and, well, that's not fun nor constructive. |

AwakenedAddict: You know, the same could be said for alot of members on this board who really don't add much to the discussion of the scene. ALOT of bull gets posted on TOTA, and to be honest, this board is not someplace I go for a true representation/discussion of the scene. This board is a SOCIAL GROUP for our city that shares a common interest in music. I find my buddy's sister hot, and I thought I'd share it with this social group, and I know some people, maybe not you, would appreciate it. My friends sister HAPPENS to be a partier much like us (even did promo work up in Montreal and has frequented the clubs that we all enjoy). She's 26 though, and has partied longer than most of us here. I don't even know if she's grown out of the scene yet, maybe she has.
None the less, this thread shouldn't have been an outlet for a non related jab. relating something I post to something I said? Gimme a break. Take it for what it is, a hot girl who grew up in and around this area who happened to be in the Miss Universe pageant as the UK rep even though she's never lived in the UK, she grew up in the Niagara Region.
I don't read every post on Tranceaddict because not everything interests me. I skim over it. Maybe you should do the same. |

Well you are right, and I do skip over a bunch of threads that i could care less about... i only clicked on this one because i was bored at work.
You've failed to see that my previous posts are not a criticism of you per se, but a bit of wisdom that I thought fit to pass along to you. Your gripe is essentially that people can't keep on topic in your thread. But when you fail to respect the topic guidelines of a forum, what do you expect?
Anyhow, I just see this discussion as going around in circles. Post whatever you want, I don't care at all, but just beware of the reprocussions. Also beware that by people who posting off-topic/needless threads/posts only contribute to the degradation of this board. |

As an aside, I read your above post about how TOTA is really just a Toronto social group whose members share a common interest in trance, house and other EDM -- the core of why we are all here... and I agree 100%.
