Select members of both boards are great sources of scene discussion, but I let soulseek dictate the music that I enjoy, and I don't let local opinion of said artists/dj's dictate who I go out to see. Simply because you can't fully like something on this board or on tr.ibe without getting flamed by some people. hence the reason I don't give much scene credibility to this board, and view it more as a social group (or bunch of social groups) within a scene.
Great source of nightlife information, but this board is so polluted with promo , it looks like the guv parking lot after a party.

True. And yes reading your posts would have been better... the price I pay for logging on at work -- I skimmed to try to not waste alot of time on here... but now I've been sucked in and wasted more time than I planned, so I really might as well as just read them ;)

why don't you try dictating yourself what you listen to?
and downloading music is bad.
and for the promo , you must be kidding me. the whole reason for promo is so the scene gets better. and so the clubs are able to get people inside so they can get better DJs.
you don't have to go into the event forum is you don't like promo. you don't have to look at roll calls if you don't like promo. |
