lemme just say that i couldn't believe i was actually there !! i got a last minute invitation that i couldn't refuse :D despite the massive lack of sleep (it's been more than 24h now and as you all know i'm always sober) and other i managed to stay there for more than 3 hours and half !! woooooow TRAAAAAAAAANCE tututututun
those of you who think this is a joke can actually ask Marcus, layloula, Wisnia, shawn05, Blinckme, FunKenLouis and the others who saw me there :D
Marco G's set was in' pumpin', the bass was so high that we were shaking inside the dj booth :eyes: highlight of the set was no doubt "Funk Around the World (Bryan Cox remix)"
then came Christopher Lawrance, who was actually okay during the first hour, but went into a total cheese fest during the second one, with boring breakdowns a la tiesto and other dairy products. but he seemed like a very nice guy i must admit.
i left at the end of lawrence's set when liebing came in to play.

Was a pleasure to meet all you TA's. Bertuzz, Wisnia, Misho (DJ Misho, ofcourse, thanks for the tigerbalm/vicks,) the_devil (pleasure), monika, kane, louis (30 gallons!), dj charlie (front and center, like a true armin fan) AND last but never least: Layloula!
(All I can say is Wisnia/Kane/Monika/Misho/the_devil gang is SUPER cool. It was a pleasure to meet and party with all of you.)
I had an insane time! One of the best raves I have ever been to. You can ask Taha how much I enjoyed it, he saw me jumping on the dancefloor.
Marco G was hawt. I noticed Preach hanging in back of Marco G while he played, very cool.
Christopher Lawrence really fkn surprised me. At first I wasn't really feeling his vibe but then he started to play some quality stuff. However, I truly do consider Mr. Lawrence a starter for...
CHRIS LIEBING!!! HE FKN DESTROYED THE PLACE!! His basslines drove me INSANE!!!! Which leads us to:
ARMIN... VAN... BUUREN!!!! He started nice and slow which was PERFECT! Which he then broke into some heavier stuff and some even more heavier . PERFECT SILENCE!!!! :o :o :o SICK SICK SICK
I wanted to stay for Blank and Jones but my energy was completely gone!
DID ANYONE NOTICE HUGO FROM OCCUPATION DOUBLE ON THE DANCE FLOOR!!!!!
(or... did no one watch occupation double...)
I love how armin brought the cracked out older asian crowd from Toronto, they must really love him.
All in all, fkn awesome! Was awesome hanging out with Shawn/Light all night. Nice meeting you all and I'll see you at CREAM. ;) |

good times all round. Stuck around for Blank & Jones till 9:30 or so till my feet said no and my eyes were closing...bad news! Running on fumes at this point. Was it me or did Armin played fricken HARD. good stuff :D.

not bad!! we arrived very soon at 22 hour, margo g sucked big time ( i hate tek-house)
christopher lawrence was ok

armin was ok too!! 4 hour set is really long!! so about 1/2 of his set was good and the other 1/2 was very very too slow too smooth (almost house)
blank and jones at the end was ok too,, but very cheesey vocal trance! but they played better traxx than armin in my opinion
many tune played 2 time!!!!
many mnay people!! in both room! ( more in the trance room)
but we had enought space to dance
going to sleep now! cya |

This was honestly the best party night of my life here in Montreal:)
To start things off, it would NOT have been so good if it wasnt for the gang!
Victor-dude you rock, ing chillest guy ever...POLSKA represent! crazy ass dancer too, picked up some of your moves as the morning grew on :P
Kane-sorry dont remember real name:(, but you are one cool dude!
Monika -(Czech is close to Poland...so represent as well!) and your friends! Rachel and...? Oh, damn, im also really sorry me and Dajanna had to leave early (830am), we said goodbyes to Rachel and the guys but we missed you Monika and your other friend (name?) :) It was very very nice to meet you though and i plan on going out more with the "crew" !)

Dajanna well you convinced me to go, and i do not regret it one bit, every single moment spent last night (or last mornign?) was awesome!! Haha remember dj booth with armin? That was awesome, got a nice gift didnt you? ;)
Louis, cant thank you enough for the close-up pics of AVB you did for me with my cell...and yeah i managed to get in the dj booth later for a bit anyways cause no one was checking! And of course for VIPS:)

I know i met more of you TA's, some really cool ones too, but i really dont remember your usernames (sorry!), please post to remind me because im off to work and dotn remember everything but yesterday:P Oh, and im Robert btw.
As for the dj's and night itself, omg wow.
I think lawrence and leibing were on a mission to rape our asses before AVB hit the stage, i think it worked!
Fastmp3: dunno bout lawrence being cheesy, but you gotta admit some tunes he dropped were killer!
I literally danced the whole night with no breaks, and i couldnt feel better!
highlight of the night: Either dj booth with monika(+friends)/wisnia/the_devil+other random ppl + ARMIIIIIN! <-----that was the !
or Armin actually AGREEING to my request to play Burned with Desire!1111 OMG i died:P Too bad it was instrumental mix but hey i got my wish:)
Oh, one more thing, when ARMIN played Max Graham ft Jessica Riddle - Gone...wow everyone went crazy:)
Unfortuantely, im off to work, and currently i havent slept in ~28 hrs so i will post my pics later, most probably tomorrow!

Wow. Def. the best party of 2005 for me.
Lawrence set was awesome, Liebing a bit dull, Armin and B&J - incredible.
Met so many guys from here! It was really nice to meet you all, especially Marcus (can't remember any other names hehe). Special thanks to Louis for the VIP ticket, and gettin me in the booth next to Armin.
And Louis, man, so many people had cameras, why did you say you couldn't bring em. I had to use some cheap 0.5 megapixel one. Argh. Pics soon.
And yea, I got a signed vinyl from Armin :P

Hey Enjoy, if i remember correctly (which i dont), only 2 ppl from the TA's got a signed copy of that vinyl, the_devil (you lucky gal you!) and im guessing you. Youre tall, had a white (polo?) shirt on? Sorry dont remember your real name:(
Marcus: I wouldnt say liebing was dull, but it was pretty much boom-boom -boom all the time, which i guess can be quite repetitive for some people.

Well, overall the set was pretty good, but at some point I wished Liebing would finish it as soon as possible. Maybe I was just tired. |
