| Just wondering what the fans of trance do for a living, and if they like it or not. If it's school what are the plans or goals. As for me, Im a Plumber. No not the plunging, ass showing, guy with his hand down your toilet. New construction only, as clean as any other trade. I actually enjoy my job in a lot of ways. Its kind of like getting up every day to go play with really big, and potentially dangerous legos, But I can't say I could ever love my job unless the Blue Jays got really desperate. |

I'm not doing this for a living (because i don't get paid cash for it lol) but for my co-op I'm working for our only local newspaper. I help do research, interview people, write articles, serve customers, edit papers, stuff like that. I found out that a lot goes into putting together a newspaper, and if you wanna get into that field of work, you HAVE to be able to handle a lot of stress! :whip: :whip: :whip:
I am taking a year off and I'm moving to Montreal in June so I can have some time alone to figure out what I want to do for the rest of my life. It will probably have something to do with linguistics and/or travel/tourism. I also am hoping to teach english as a foreign language in asia or south amaeica in the near future.:) |

I'm a Network Specialist. Work in the Network Operations Center of a very large and evil telecom company. :)
My job is to sit in front of my computer all day posting to TA and chatting on IRC. Oh, and on occasion I fix the network when it breaks. :D |

Sounds like a decent job, while being very difficult as well. My friend did steam fitting for a large industrial company called Jack Bird plumbing. They installed boiler rooms and such. I don't think he liked it, and from the sounds of it, it sounded like really demanding work.
I do exhibitor relations for Alliance Atlantis Motion Picture Distribution. That's just a fancy name....Basically, between me and these two other guys, they coordinate the distribution of posters and promotional materials with exhibitors and theatres, and I send them all out....So if you've seen an Alliance Atlantis or Odeon poster in a theatre, that's the fruits of my labour.
I love my job too, and sometimes I wonder why. I think it helps to have a passion for movies, and the perks are great too. We have a lot of launch parties with open bar, lots of promotional materials, movie passes, and a movie card that allows us and a guest to see free movies at any theatre across Canada. |

I'm about to go into my fourth and final (thank god) year of my undergraduate degree. It's in Political Science and English as well as a minor in Philosophy (which can make you all appreciate how BAD I want it all to be over). So you ask - what the hell are you gonna do with that degree? Well, I'm on the bandwagon as every other Poli Sci student...Law School...YEEEEHAW :toothless
I work for the YMCA however as a co-ordinator and facilitator for one of their after-school programs for inner-city kids and I LOVE my job. I was skeptical about it when I applied (kids....hmmm....) but now I wouldn't trade it for anything. Granted sometimes I think they need a boot to the ass (some of them..usually the repeat offenders :p ) but overall a very rewarding experience.
On a side note...when do I get to start posting attachments?? I had an awesome one for this :(

Don't get mad about this one - just jokin' around :p |

About to go to 3rd yr history degree. Might switch if my school offers a peace and conflict degree.
In my other life, I'm an infantry soldier for Canadian Army Reserve. |

i'm going into my second year at university towards my degree in developmental psychology.. the plan is to be a child psychologist.. not psychiatrist though.. because i don't believe in psychiatric drugging of children.. i think its a much better idea to have special programs and classes to help kids with behavioural problems and learning disabilities then to drug em up...
(the drug use should only start in the later teen years/early adulthood hehe)
and i work part-time at a kick-ass hat store in our mall here in Windsor..

| actually wasn't expecting to see so many replies. some cool stuff so far. those of you who want to work with kids I really envy. I love kids, but I couldn't deal with being a Teacher of ECE worker. I know what I was like, and I pitty the fools who had to put up with me. Child psych. would also be interesting, but I don't think that I would be able to handle the stress. |
