All you pro-Windows and pro-Linux types keep the flames down and state your claims. |

Real Work: Solaris or Linux
Home if compatibility wasn't an issue: Mac
Real Home: XP (for games and stuff basicly) |

Because one day, if we don't stop him Bill Gates will control everything.
I prefer Mac, no kidding, for its tremendous ease of use. My powerbook has had one crash in a year, no Windows system can even compete with that. Also, my computer runs just as it did the day I brought it out of the box. Virtual immunity to viruses is also a very nice feature. However, compatibility is a slight issue for me, and I know a major one for many other people. |

question for all the Linux users, which distribution of Linux are you using? And why did you pick that one over others?
EDIT: The reason I'm asking is cuz I'm still pretty new to Linux and am tyring to figure out which distribution to use as there's so many of them out there. I've mostly used debian at the labs on campus (and a little bit of mandrake).
What I mostly use my computer for: Internet, Music (listening and not production or anything like that), and, homework (I'm a Computer Science major). |
