Nice seeing you tonight man :D...yeah i'm gonna catch some sleep too...maybe i'll remember some more exciting things when I wake up...

oh yeah...

Tiesto Messiah....that mofo jumped on a plane and showed up after all  :haha: :stongue: what a guy...ah boy good times :)

Screw it... too many things I can't have anyone else spoil for me...

I spent my time at home listening to RJ's 2hp Tiesto-athon getting myself pumped and ready to go. Picked up my buddy's ticket as he had to bail at the last minute, sadly. Met the lady at work and off we went. I DID decide to bring THE PICTURE inside my Parade of Atheletes vinyl JUST in case as well...hopeing it would work out ok.

Of course the brief and traditional stop at none other than Wendey's near Woodstock and we were in Missisauga at her place with good time.

Chatted it up on TA and to a couple jealous friends while still listening to 2hp getting myself more and more excited to go. I kept thinking "If this is anything like December, I'm going to just die!"

Then, it was time...off to TO for TIESTO!

We got there by about 9:40ish ready for the dude from MTL to show and buy his ticket from me. Met up with John, Karen and her posse of proud Tiesto fans, Karim and a couple others while I was waiting for the guy. Waiting and waiting and finally he arrives at 10:45! Last time I get you a ticket buddy ;)

IN we finally went to the beats of Tone Depth. Showed the lady around the club looking for TA's when we realize the patio was open. We went out, grabbed some pizza and some free Rev and continued the wandering. Metup with RJ and then the rest of the crew once again. Good to see Sam and the London hotties out in full form too ;) Too bad I couldn't check my bag with my picture and album though...it sure was annoying to carry around.

We heard Tone Depth drop "Moments" and I knew things were going to be fun. It was then that Dan and his buddies decided they wanted to try the bungee jumping/whatever it's called thing behind the patio, so we all went out to see them cheat death.

It was at that part of the evening my night started to get better. From these words on... it all went upwards; Cale: "Hey, I wonder if that's Tiesto's Hummer that just pulled in behind you"

Well... out walked a regular guy...didn't look inticing...and then; Tiesto's manager hops out of the car and I know who's car it is just as he himself jumped out; Tiesto!

RJ hits me and tells me to go get my stuff signed. I run after Tiesto as he's heading into his trailer and he sees me, went to stop, but was pushed inside by the promoter saying he's too busy. Oh well I thought, he's got to come out sometime. So we played the waiting game. For about 30 minutes. Doing nothing but stand there. Getting eating by moskito's. His manager came out and talked quickly with me and said he'd help me out later with anything I needed, but promptly went back inside. And then; the door finally opened and off Tiesto went in the other direction. *sigh*

So we booked it inside and pushed our way through the crowd just in time to see Tiesto hit the stage in pure fashion; arms in the air, smile on his face.

We were forced to edge to the left side of the club where we ended up staying most of the night to be honest. Tune after tune of ISOS4 was played to a huge crowd just going crazy. It was amazing to see how nuts people would go for downtempo tracks for once.

I ended up working as a doorman as the security guard was having trouble keeping all the people from ducking around the gate to rush the stage; was kind of fun. Track after track he was dropping just like a crazy man...first off of the huge ones it was Traffic, and the original at that. The place errupted. I LOVE the Toronto crowd with that song. Next came Suburban Train, and later Flight 643; WOW! Just WOW!

Out came Tiesto's manager and we shot the for about 20 minutes, seeing what was up with him, myself, Tiesto, and the industry. I got some sneak peaks at TIC NA but unfortunately; MY LIPS ARE SEALED. Only thing I will say is that in the future; Toronto will be THE Canadian city that gets Tiesto's attention for how much he LOVES playing here (hence the extended sets all the time). Then he grabbed my album and photo and went up to the booth. A couple songs later which seemed like days, he returned; I now have a signed Parade of Athletes vinyl as well as THE PICTURE = COMPLETED! Armin, Ferry, and finally TIESTO all in one! Best picture ever (scan to come later as per RJ's most adequate request :P).

The night was off the hook now; just amazing. The radio promotor and the Project Orange promotor who were giving me attitude earlier, saw me when I was talking with Tiesto's manager and decided I wasn't such a prick that they thought I was. It was kind of nice.

Just as Karim decided he wants to see if I can possibly get in the booth, hands me his camera, The Project Orange promotor hands me and the lady a VIP bracelet and says; "Follow me!"

Up, to TIESTO's booth, we went....

We turned the corner, and BAM...there he is, full form, doing his thing, not 2 feet from me. I got some SERIOUS pics on that camera Karim, not to mention some killer video's for you! I'm so jealous that I can't look at them right now. How amazing is that though; in the BOOTH with TIESTO having him go crazy with Adagio for Strings!? Looks like I'm 1Up on Erwin now eh? :P HAHA! I even showed him the pic he had signed earlier and he gave me the biggest smile but most of all it was in person, and so close! To be up there watching him do his thing after seeing him through the television screen so many times before was unbelievable; I will never forget it.

After some goodbye's with Tiesto's manager, a high-five and shake of the hand from Tiesto himself, he was off upstairs to relax for a while and we were outside on the patio back where we started; with Karen, RJ,and the rest of the now Tiesto-ified crew.

We, unfortunately had had enough; we departed, not without swiping a Dumonde flyer off of the hydro poll outside though.

I have officially had another incredible experience from my favorite DJ. I literally could not have asked for more from the evening, other that to have MY camera work a little more effectively...like, at all.

Highlights;

Booth with Tiesto..duh
Adagio for Strings
Traffic
Flight 643
Suburban Train
ISOS4 (pretty well only my favorite songs)
THE PEOPLE! I LOVE THE TA PEOPLE! You are what makes the party's that much more fun.

Thank you all for a wonderful and incredible night once again. Karim, get me those pics ASAP so I can get to work on seeing them over, and over, and over again ;)

Get some rest people and most of all...

Happy Canada Day!

went and ing loved it... had great spots although it was crowded but at the end i was on the railing at the front. too bad i had no energy left.. damn you tiesto for playing good tracks to get me moving..
anyways killer killer set... however, some little wierd djing techniques i guess that really made me wonder what was going on...
and also, was it just me or could the sound be way better... i heard no midrange that night.
off to bed... waking up on sunday.. peace
also, i have no idea what a lot of the songs he played were because i have not yet bought in search of sunrise but can anybody name a bunch of tracks that stood out that would be unknowns to me.. like i recognized "la noche" but what about that "dark side of the moon" track??
