REVIEW: Tiesto at the Docks June 30th, 2005!!! (pg. 40)

Well, now I am finally back home in Charlotte and it's nice to be home.
We had a good time in Toronto. Getting in the club was very easy and not really a line which was nice. Big ups to The Docks for running the door efficiently. The place was already pretty packed when we got in there maybe 30 minutes to an hour before Tiesto came on. We didn't sppend much time up front because it was hot and packed. We stayed mostly at the back of the club and on the awesome patio. From what I heard, Tiesto's mixing was very good and he played a lot of the ISOS classics which was good in some ways, but bad in others. The good was that he usually doesn't play that stuff in clubs so it was nice to hear. The bad was that a lot of that stuff is on the mellow side. It was awesome listening to La Noche on the patio though while some amazingly beautiful girl was dancing near us. Tiesto as usual looked like he was having a blast up there on the stage from what I could see.
I haven't read through the reviews yet; there are too many. But the best part of the night was the awesome people we met that treated us Americans great and everyone was really nice to us. TORONTO KNOWS HOW TO PARTY!!! It had been over 4 years since I was there and I must say I though the crowd was wonderful. There seemed to be a lot of people there that were true Tiesto fans and the 19+ crowd was nice.
I must say though, after seeing Tiesto in Toronto, NYC, Charlotte, Miami, and Atlanta, I prefer the smaller venues. I have seen him play in front of 500-1000 ppl and those are the best. Sure, they may not have all the extras such as the lights and massive sound, but they are the most fun.
The rest of our stay in TO was nice too. Most people were very friendly to us. The ROM w as great, as was the CN Tower, although packed due to the international convention. All in all, wonderful time in Toronto before heading back to Buffalo/Niagara. Had a good time there, but didn't win or lose at the Casinos. I think we about broke even. |

I sure was having the same problem! It just got to the point where I didn't even care anymore!! Haha, I knew I wouldn't see much! Haha But you're right...when I got up on the platform, I figured I might as well take advantage of it while I can! Haha...it sucks b/c I usually like having a nice view of the DJ, I like watching them in action.

Besides, I get hyped about everyone but Armin has that special place...and Danny T...FACK I still can't get over him...:eyespop:

LOL I'm totally opening it up for more flammage but yeah, I was considering exactly the same!!! But I'm not THAT fickle to completely HATE a DJ after one event, because half my favorite tracks in the car are STILL from the master, DJ TIESTO!!!! I love him and will continue to believe in the Holy Trinity! ;) :p |

Whatever people say, I still think that Tiesto gave us his best on that thursday night. Unbelievable set !
It's a pity that it was soo packed and the sound quality was , otherwise this would indeed be a legendary party. Tiesto delivered an unforgettable set, and showed just why he is #1 ! |
