I don't get it...why do they always release those statistics about nationals in disasters...like if they are reporting about some disaster far away they would say "a 1,000 people died but no Canadians were among the dead"...like oh ok then I shouldn't care...like wtf...people are people who cares which country they are citizens of, ESPECIALLY in Canada...
Anyway looks like it was a pilot error after all - his decision to land the plane and simply overshot the runway...unless there was something physically wrong with the plane...I guess we'll know soon enough from the black box recorders. |

Yeah i hate that too, like in the tsunami the biggest issue seemed to be how many westerners died! when that was just a small fraction of all who actually died! but i guess that makes it more interesting or something.. |

yeah people are people but most ARE interested in whether or not people from their region died or not. its just something people want to know. |

Up until 9/11 - United used to have ATC on the in-flight radio. I used to listen to it for the entire flight - way more interesting than a shoddy movie or crappy in-flight tunes. |

It's definitely the airbus, 737s don't make transatlantic hops and I don't think Air France operates any Boeing aircraft.
Poor Frenchies :( |
yes they do! 777, and i think they still have a few 747's. |

I know it's hard to compute, but...
Do you really want a sketchbag working @ ATC? |

air canada is voted n.america's best bcuz no one gives a about the united states. so its either mexicana or air canada. i guess they chose air canada. if the us had not put a mess in thsi world, the best airline in north america today would be either united or northwest. i miss canada 3000!! damn 9/11 :whip: |
