I am glad you like them. I have like nine diff style mixes every month. I have lots to give away. "Eurotrip"(trance with vocals), "liquid therapy"(cold harbour style), "club in mono"(monotonic club trance hitters), "keep on tech-trancing"(its obvious), "trance injection"(melodic club trance), "vocal choons"(progressive and tribal with vocals), "progressive strike"(obvious), "scan & kill"(progressive psy trance), "state of psychosis"(full on psy).
p.s. These above mentioned girls also tried to take advantage of my cigarette supply. I only gave them one, and told them to share. I had only one small pack to last me and my buddy. E-mail me if you like, its in my profile. |

yeah, they kept grabbing my hair and shirt and while i was trying to bust a move. like...wtf?! DO NOT MESS WITH A MAN WHO IS IN A TRANCE (a sober trance too :P)
and im not bragging! If someone chilled out with their hero id wanna hear about it too!! And its not like he didnt come down and chill with us all at the bar :P everyone had their chance to meet the man :) |

There was elaborate schemes to have dinner, but Mike was a?clets say?cvery DECISIVE man. So he said no, no dinner. Aaron proceeds to cancel the reservations. We?fre almost at the hotel when he says: ?gMEXIACAN. I want some Mexican, lets go eat. Do you know a place? Ok. Lets eat.?h. Who was I to say no? All the while, stuck in traffic with Mike asking ?gAre we there yet!??h.
Lone Star it was. We sit down and the waitress comes by. Mike decides we should all have margaritas. But I cant get one before the waitress sees some id. As I pass it to her, Mike?fs like ?gLET ME SEE THAT?c1986!!! Do you still have your diapers on??h My hero just punked my ass lol.
We take mike back to his hotel and stop by Dannie at work to brag, with me going on like a little 5 year old showing the records I just got signed (see post above :rollseyes: ) almost yelling at the top of my lungs (as co-workers look on, giving strange looks). Aaron and I head to Tylers house with a quick stopover at mine with tyler txting ?gWhats taking you so long, drew has to change his diapers??h [the 2ND time this is mentioned]
Get to Tyler?fs and he graciously gives us food and drink. [some of us with too much, eh Mr I-walk-into-closets-and-and-hit-my-head-cuz-i-think-its-the-bathroom! ;) ]
Get to viva, check out the situation, and at bout 1:15 pick up Mike from his hotel. Oddly enough, Im just as, if not more nervous than the last time about meeting him. We get to the club, hang out backstage for a bit, talk about other gigs that Mikes played, then we heads to the booth, and we head onto the dancefloor.
And as you all are well aware, we got our asses KICKED!!! Pound, Turn out the Lights, yimanya, roc project, just kick, :D:D:D I havnt danced that hard in many a night. And the closing track: UNIVERSAL NATION 2005 !! OMFGWTF!! Absolutely HUGE tune.
What an awesome guy, amazing producer and outstanding dj. I really saw tonight how a real pro works the crowd. At points when I was thinking I had to sit down, Mike ripped a track that had me moving as hard as ever!
Awesome night. Partying with my favorite people [although some were missing :( ] An outstanding night. Nima and Tiesto4Life holy it?fs a small world eh? Lol. Gonna browse thru the pics now. :D |

"WIKKID WIKKID!!" - ummmm............MOST DEFINIATELY - SOME OF THE HARDEST ASS TECHNO/TRANCE I have heard all year!!!
"BRING IT UP! BRING IT UP!" - M.I.K.E. did all right - so much so that it BROUGHT MY ASS UP ATOP THE PODIUM FOR A GOOD SPELL!!!! WOOT!
This night was such a wonderful surprise to what started out a ty freakin day........

not because we are all UP FOR IT MASSIVELY - LOOK AT US.....but the fact that judging by this picture you'd think we were at System Soundbar or something......the hushed chatter from lowered voices was almost deafening.....

less than a 5% visible MINORITY in the entire club and almost a 100% visible MAJORITY - FRONT AND CENTRE - too FUNNY!!!!!
so many awesome tracks were played that everyone has mentioned but there was one for me that stood out more than the rest.........
we all have our reasons for loving his seminal track UNIVERSAL NATION but I do not think any of us were prepared for the brutal emotional impact that track had when he dropped that motherofabomb mix on us down in front.......hearts yearning for a past love - is what I felt from that - I almost cried dudes!!! NO !!!
When we were all up at the bar and getting stuff signed by M.I.K.E. - I tapped him on the shoulder and said - "Man - that mix of UNIVERSAL NATION - WHAT THE - AMAZING???? :eyespop: - He said "YOU WILL ONLY HEAR THAT MIX - WHEN I COME TO SPIN" whilst sporting a huge grin.......:D :D :D
WELL FOLKS - I AM SO GLAD I CAME TO HEAR M.I.K.E. SPIN!!!!!

All in all... GREAT night... everyone seemed to have an amazing time (and that's all that matters). The TA support continues to grow at Viva again.. and I LOVE have you all there front and center!!! You guys are all awesome! Thanks everyone!!!
MIKE blew me away with the energy in his set... no real classics... just monster after monster!!! Unbelievable... :)
