The size and frequency of these threads demonstrates that there are enough people interested in the classic trance sound, nearly everyone on here has a computer that is capable of making some kind of noise, we have formed a massive organized network for distributing music files. We have everything we need but still no worthy music has emerged, something must be wrong. There are huge amounts of kids making music, surely some of them are making the stuff you are looking for, I hope you all find them soon. It really wouldn't take much effort at all for each of the regualr complainers to find some obscure producer who makes music you like, and share the living hell out of it until they become recognized names. You constant whiners could even pick up a keyboard yourself if this music is so important to you, and we'd really like to hear your ideas about how music should sound, since you all talk about it sooooo friggin much. |
Oh quit your crying. No one here hates trance. Its just a bit crap at the moment...
Try some of the artists on the Spliff Music or Translucent labels and you might find something thats closer to that style of music. Its not exactly early Platipus stuff, but if they were still releasing tracks along those lines, it would have evolved into something like this I reckon. Anyway, it hits the spot for me. Try Electro Sun, System Nipel and Safi Connection in particular. Its all pretty fluffy melodic stuff and technically it falls under the psy banner but its got a lot of similarities to old school trance.
The stuffs out there, you just need to look in the right places ;)
While I'm at it, theres a lot of good on these boards if you bother to look. Check out these two by MegaMan. ing awesome original sounding trance. No tediously long buildups either.

I've asked you some five ing times to explain how your theory of everything with regards to pop music applies to ing Blur or the ing Beastie Boys. If you can't distort it so it accomodates for them after all this time, I'd say your only defence is to make daft accusations towards me.

The reason why l quit this forum was because there are constant arguments,slagging off trance, flaming,bashing,shouting,screaming...there are no intelectual discussions at all...forum of haters...this forum shoud be called not tranceaddict,but trancehaters.com....terrible.
