I'd think it would be best to cut down on the pollution UNTIL we know for sure it doesn't have any effect. Better safe than sorry.

Of course that's not going to happen. But I can hope.

true but most people don't think about the future and what the actions they do might cause to their generation of offspring

i think us cutting down on pollution goes without saying. because even if there is no global warming that is causing hurracaines, its still making disasters hit harder..

for example, all the growth and development in bombay and the destuction of the mangroves and the pollution in them caused the monsoon floods to go out of control.

so dont litter, k?

The generic joe doesn't understand the need to try and preserve nature. It's just too much of an utopian concept.

I didn't either, before the fact hit my like a baseballbat in the head when I was walking through a very tranquile and lush forest.

i have a great appreciation for nature not many people know about me.. i have written a lot of haikus about nature as well, none of which i will share with you guys today.

Update:
Pressure down to 881millibars
this is by far the strongest hurricane in the atlantic
lowest ever recorded on earth was 870mb (typhoon tip, which was more than 1000 miles across and has winds over 190mph)

EDIT:

this is too far into the future, but when the hurricane moves up the east coast some models predict a scenario similar to that movie "the perfect storm"
