UPDATE:
wilma weakened slightly
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...165 MPH. MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE... 892 MB.
this is mainly due to an eye-wall replacement cycle
look for miss wilma to gain strength once again, as soon as the cycle is complete |

update:
eye wall replacement cycle is about to complete shortly
this storm did not weaken much dring the cycle as hurricanes usually do...
this is a very intense monster of a storm
it just might break its own record for the most intense pressure ever in the atlantic, which was set this morning |

im a bit safer up on the east coast of FL in jax.
not that we didnt get visited 3 times in a row last year aside from the rest.

the minimum theoretical pressure is 850mb or so
the lowest pressure ever recorded on earth was 870 (typhoon tip, which had winds over 190mph)
wilma will come close to tip in pressure, you can bet on that
pressure is a way to measure storm intensity
the lower the pressure, the stronger the storm, the bigger the storm surge |
