this is by far the strongest hurricane in the atlantic
lowest ever recorded on earth was 870mb (typhoon tip, which was more than 1000 miles across and has winds over 190mph)

EDIT:

this is too far into the future, but when the hurricane moves up the east coast some models predict a scenario similar to that movie "the perfect storm"

I tought you were about to say The Day After Tomorrow
Lepanto
I keep saying this...the end of the world.

This is seriously crazy, how many damn hurricanes can we survive? I was watching NBC or CBS (don't remmember) in the morning and they were talking about the fact that one more major disaster like Katrina and the US economy won't survive.

Let's hope no one gets hurt.

ey!
where's da love for butters stotch ?

when katrina and rita hit, no love for the new orleans region ?!?!?
:conf:

that's fine b!tches .. i don't need you guys .. i'm outta here !!!

:wtf:

kidding .. anyways .. wilma looks like a big lesbian ready to lash out it's woman activist ways .. .. what i went through, i think the people of florida should get the hell out of there .. cat 5 hurricanes feel like earthquakes .. however, hurricanes last about 2 hours .. earthquakes last about 5 seconds, then the occasional aftershocks after .. therefore, hurricanes feel worse than earthquakes ..

just my opinion ..

Yes, because the list of names is exhausted, they will use the greek alphabet instead. Alpha, then Beta, then Gamma. Since the hurricane season is not over for at least the next six weeks we will see these names...

i really should have picked meteorology instead of CS as my major
Floorfiller

Lepanto
one of my ex Gf's who moved down there told me during hurricanes or storms she sits in her bath tub with a helmet and her dog.

update
too far out but i just read this

THERE HAS BEEN LITTLE CHANGE TO THE FORECAST
TRACK THROUGH 96 HOURS. HOWEVER...RECENT RUNS OF THE GFS AND
NOGAPS ARE SUGGESTING THE POSSIBILITY OF A THREAT TO NEW ENGLAND.
IN THIS SCENARIO...WILMA BECOMES CAPTURED BY A LARGE MID- TO
UPPER-LEVEL LOW FORECAST TO MOVE INTO THE GREAT LAKES REGION IN
FOUR DAYS. THE ECMWF AND IN PARTICULAR THE UKMET...BOTH OLDER
RUNS...DO NOT YET INDICATE THIS. THE FIVE-DAY OFFICIAL FORECAST
POINT HAS BEEN ADJUSTED TO THE LEFT AND FASTER THAN THE PREVIOUS
ADVISORY...BUT IS STILL MUCH FARTHER OFFSHORE OF NEW ENGLAND THAN
THE GFDL...GFS...AND NOGAPS GUIDANCE.

now since i live near boston, Wilma is now an even bigger deal to me now...

if this holds true, the perfect storm is in the making looks like
Slylee
u can't evacuate in florida...that's retarded. no matter where you go, it could hit.
