Hang on, isn't that the way it should be? We are the second lowest ranked team to qualify, so we should be in the lowest seedings.
Get over yourselves, we shouldn't be ranked number 1 and be given an easy run to the final just cos we made it:rolleyes:

The rankings are a joke. It's all politics. If USA are ranked 7th in the world I'm a little green alien. USA is about on par with Australia I'd say. And I think our ranking is lower than it should be. We beat Uraguay fair and square, and we've beaten England recently. We did well in the confederations cup against the best teams in the world, scoring often, but admittedly conceding too many, a problem I think Huus Hiddink has now fixed.
Our problem is we just don't get regular strong opposition. Distance is a problem for us. Now that we're in the World Cup however, we should get a bunch of high quality games which is great, and we may just start to get an idea of our real ranking, and I hazzard a guess it's higher than 56 in the world.
They really need to fix the World Cup qualification process. It's pretty ed up. North America and the Carribean do not deserve 3.5 spots for crying out loud when South America only get one more than that. South American countries have won half the world cups tournamants since it began. Have any North American countries even won one yet? North America will have an equal number of teams in the World Cup as South America this time. It's absurd.
If the USA are going to be ranked in the top group and Australia bottom group, then I hope we get them, because we'll kick their arse.
