i see what youre saying, however i dont see why people would support a team/person in a sport they dont follow to be honest.

and i agree with paulie. dont underestimate the americans. they are more than capable. but 100% agree with B1's post re the qualification system. it shouldnt be the best from each continent/region, it should be the best 32 teams in the world. fvck having your no-chance unknown island with a population of 11 making the finals. lowers its pedigree imo.

it isnt a bad thing, but sporting elitists make it so
blame the sport for not giving its nation something to follow, not the supporters who finally see something good about it

hey, its just a personal belief thing. not a big fan of national pride is all. and i really really dont understand suddenly taking an interest in something you dont normally like. i mean, everyone has a line- you dont see anyone getting massive hard ons when Oz competes in the lawn bowls championships ;)

its great for soccer in australia, & they'll certainly be my 2nd team (tho i do like the dutch as well :)) but i get annoyed at people who havent done anything to support "their" team, like, ever, are getting in my face & telling me all about soccer & australia blah blah fvcking blah. then the looks of disgust when i mention that i follow england, and braindead people cant understand loving something more than you might love your country

i can only imagine what some of you might say if some suddenly big aus DJ flung your chosen genre(s) right into the mainstream for everyone to be sudden experts & followers in ;)

national pride is fine, until you take it too far and start annexing countries.

hahaha.

for someone so uncomfortable with their status of \'gay trance dj icon of the world\' you seem to request an awful lot of homo favours from your forum brethren begic :p

i hope you grow to care enough about the game so when england is pressing your face deep into the pillow you shed a few tears :D

and the question on everyone\'s lips: is begic really the gay icon of DJs?? i reckon theres a definite argument to be made...
