tbh i think patriotism is as as it is good, and who the fvck wants to be able to go for their number 1 team only once every 30 odd years? ;) thats !
england might lose more often than id like but least i get to see them play :) and at their best they are capable of beating any team in the world (imo).
, if somehow we'd fluked a win against brazil in 2002 we wouldve stuck a ridiculous amount of helmet in germany :D
but of course i want australia to do well ;) |

I think its good for ANYONE in AUSTRALIA to show support for the game!
Even if they have liked it for 2 days or 2 years or 20 years!
Who cares!
Soccer in Australia needs as much publicity & support as possible!!
Im just so excited we made it into the World Cup!
I envy anyone who goes to Germany next year!

And for a week soccer was the coolest sport ever... now people couldnt give a again....
oh well, atleast world cup time, it'll get more exposure again

so was this quite a big deal in Oz qualifying for Germany 2006? The media here in the UK made out absolutely no body cared.

ummm yer coz maybe you guys have the biggest head ive seen and that's one of the reason i reckon the EPL is a boring as e! i hope u guys meet us and we thump you hard... (we did last time!), or a even better match would be to get thumped by Argentina with Messi running rings around your little media driven side! |

If you did a little research you would understand why its such a big deal for us qualifying.
Ofcourse no one in the UK cared. They only care about the Queen, Harry Potter & Jordan/Peter Andre.

well i think it's good to see Oz in the WC, they should have been in it more than they have i was just surprised by everybody getting excited on this thread.
