The sound in Roxy was great. Crobar sometimes gets too loud and has this kssshhhhhhhh background noise. I haven't been to Sprit in a while so I can't compare.

I can tell because
1. at Crobar, if you put in ear plugs and tried to take them out you realize how loud it is and you put them right back in. Did not happen at Roxy.
2. I am not deaf today.

A good sound system like that allows you to experience the subtleties of trance music and the DJ's skill.

your ears dont ring because Steve Dash built the Roxy's sound system ;)

he also built Twilo's system...

he did a ing amazing job. hands down. you could hear every beat symbol and note clearly and NOT ONCE did the speakers/ amps cut down the audio signals. thats amazing for a club. i've never heard a single set where there isn't atleast some distortion on a couple of tracks here and there. And this mad me realize last night Paul was ing ON. He hit every mix seamlessly and perfectly. there were many of them that were just off the hook mixes. the only one that i can think of right now was Say Hello into For An Angel. there were just a lot of times where it sounded like he was master sampling the vocals live and it sounded amazing.

Highlights of the night for me

Bent - As You Fall i'm pretty sure this was a PVD edit of the 360 booty mix

Marco V - I Feel You (Paul Van Dyk Remix)
Oscar G & Ralph Falcon - Dark Beat
Marco V - MORE THEN A LIFE AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no idea what mix, but it was nasty, gonna guess it was a pvd mix too

there was also a new track that i've never heard before that had the lyrics Fall in them. I think it was the first track before more then a life away if anyone can id it. It was one of the beggining tracks that was the 4am Timebomb PVD set off. Great Night.

Vandit. All I want for Christmas is this set. I know it was recorded with video and audio. I saw the lighting guys with the equipment.

Btw they did a fantasitic job as well. the Lasers and the Lighting were primo last night. props. i've never really thought about how much work goes into that until i was watchin them for a bit in the back. I stopped dancing for a while cause it was just too hot for me but i had alot of fun.

props to the TA's nothing but good times!
