| To do this when you are married is just wrong, to do this when you are dating is just immature, and to do this at all means you arent happy. Just my opinion. |

Yes, however, that is not always either practical or ideal. |
i can agree with that of course...and that's obviously the realist coming out hehe :p
but then if human nature is to be selfish...then nothing we do is practical or ideal and restraint is necessary to live in an ordered society...we can't always be self-fulfilling even if it's in our best interest. and i'd say the same applies to marriage. |

| just reading your posts in this thread slylee...it sounds to me like you're a bit ashamed that you might enjoy drugs and that's why you wouldn't want craig to know about it...especially since you have this opinion of him as this grounded guy... |

You aren't thinking clearly my friend. Sometimes restraint is necessary in order to live in an ordered society, however, why is it that we elect to live in such a society? We choose this because it is easier for us to satisfy our interests within such a framework. Therefore, by maintaining order we further our interests. Moving forward now, if we choose to marry it is because we believe our interests can best be furthered through the marriage, however, if the strength and stability of the marriage requires that we occasionally satitisfy our own needs then we are strengthening the marriage by doing so and in turn furthering our interests. |

we choose this form of society because it satisfies our interests economically among other things, which really are separate from what we're discussing.
since we're talking about the fulfillment of primal urges and desires, unless our urge is greed...the social structure that we live in is cause for a sacrifice of many of those desires in order to live together....same as in marriage. |

well i changed my mind this morning. i think i just got all excited reliving all my funny, adventurous drug stories in yesterday's threads, and i started thinking, "man, i wonder if i'll do drugs again, i sorta want to" but i really don't.
craig came over last night and we had dinner and watched some tv and i ing love him. i could never lie to him or hurt him like that. he rocks.
i guess the only double life i really live is being a part of this website and not too many people knowing about it. my mom and craig and most of my friends don't really know. i've referred to it as "this site about music and DJing" and how i've met some cool people on here, but that's the extent of it.
i wonder how i'll feel tomorrow. |
