you cant make an armin like set with vocal uplifting etc... also you cant mix 4 records... thats so little to actually mean something. the only thing imo is to make a megamix. but most uplifting trancers wont allow you to do it.. when the lead is playing for two minutes you cant just bring in another record its gonna sound like .. no mixers eq can make it happen (depends on the track ofcourse). so id say go with tech-trance like tracks like katana - fancy fair etc. you can mix in /out of those tracks anytime. also lots of fx would be cool. get some stickers and choose the part you want the record to start etc... practice your set and prepare good and everything is gonna be ok if you dont up.

ok, pvdalltheway, u wanna impress the audience with trance mixing. listen here imo, if the crowd doesnt like trance music, it gives a kcuf for your fading and eq-ing. i really know what the "rap & rnb" crowd is all about. you don't really have a choice. i have numerous experiences during trance tracks being played to a stupid pop & crown in my university here in Ukraine. the idea totally sucks. i say - if you really love the music - you don't have to proove it to anyone. theyll just turn around and say "uummmm....wanna go for a beer?":eyespop:
ppls just have to face it! like one said "people dont appreciate what they dont understand" so you can ripp the knobs off, tear the faders out, send the vinyls spinning in outter space - it doesnt matter to them really. hammering an electric guitar or farting a Shakira song with your a-hole will impress them way more
