no need to interact when the music is beyond amazing..
digweed is a prime example..

CARL COX..

| To me, having great music is #1 and matters the most to me. I don't care about all the acrobats rappeling from rafters and tigers jumping through hoops of fire. The DJ can be cutting his toenails and spinning..I don't care. As long as he's playing some good tunes I am :D |

It's not even that - I pay to have fun. To be with like-minded people who don't mind busting the occasional move. Isn't the idea of a "club" either to meet people or to spend time with friends? Good music is an *expectation*, good crowd and good venue and good sound system is what I'm there for.
If I wanted "interaction", if I wanted to *see* someone I'd go to a rock concert (or Tiesto In Concert  ). |

#2 Crowd interaction. I have been at parties and the DJ did nothing more than nod his head or smile approvingly at the crowd. It was always those 3 or 4 people up front that got everyone going crazy. I love when I see that!
#3 Musical journey. That can be done with or without the 'rock star' image. My two fave journeys: Marco V @ Guv Feb 2005 and Digweed at Guv in April 2004.
PS. I really need to hit up some more parties. :wtf: |

exactly! But the idea to go hear a dj is for his music obviously. Thats what i was addressing here but you are 100% right as well.

If it takes people jumping like morons to make other people go nuts then either
a) the music sucks
or
b) the crowd sucks
or more likely
c) all of the above. |

^^^ ty picture I know...it's the best I can find right now
DA post your video of TE...I can't find it. I remember saying though..."Even though you can't see him that well, I ing LOVE how into it Ferry is getting...jumping around and !"
He plays a LOT of his own music, and it gets him so pumped up, especially when the crowd goes INSANE for it! |

Armin has the best crowd interaction
I don't mind seeing him the one time I saw him earlier this year in NYC, his interaction somewhat made up for the fact that his set was mediocre at best :thepirate |

| I'd say that armin has had the best crowd interaction but don't hate me for this but when I saw Paul Van Dyk over the summer his crowd interaction was moving his eyes every once and a while if at all. even when the crowd went nuts for a great tune he merely looked at his mixer and the odd talk with the promoters behind him was very dissapointed :( but he does have great mixing skills and everything else was good. |
