In that case I question the general intelligence of your area, it wasn't exactly a kids' movie.

+ing one. When I went to go see it I must have seen at least half a dozen parents bring young children to see the movie. Right after the scene with the janitor I saw some Mexican lady lead her 2 year old son out of the theater because I think the kid looked really freaked. Why would you ing subject your own 2 year old kids to see something like this?! I don't give a damn how desensitized to horror movies you might be, but to a child who probably doesn't know the difference between Hollywood and reality yet, seeing people's skins getting ripped up and burning alive can be pretty traumatic and detrimental to a child. These parents need to have some ing sense. It's not rated R for a little Van Damme or Jackie Chan asskicking. Retards.

that movie was rated R for a reason!

who would be stupid enough to bring a kid so young to see it?

no cuz a giant man with a pyramid shaped head dragging around a knife twice as heavy as him & ramming into a door to kill two people while giant man eating bugs crawl through the holes isn't bad at all in a kids' eyes.

I swear people have for brains.

that barb wire going up that womans flange and ripping her apart was quite harsh.

im not sure how it escaped the UK rating of an 18 [i think it was a 15 anyway]

Ok i went to see this movie last night after hypeing it up to myself for the last 4 months. What impressed me most about the movie is that it is the 1st movie that is based on a video game that really stayed true to the game and the story of the game, let's not forget resident evil street fighter and mario brothers .... I really liked the begining of the movie it was step for step what happend at the beggining of the game what i liked most about the 1st few scenes was the attention to detail of the opening of the game when she first runs through the town and the garages before she walks down the steps and the darkness takes over. I thought the school looked really good aswell and it was almost identical to the game like the class rooms etc, also the camera angles were key and simulated from the game rather impressive the movie obviously had some story line extras to fill some more of the story gap the game left .... overall i feel like if you played the game you will like it cuz it's a very good adaptation if you did not play the game u think it's a lil cheese cuz some of the actions and decisions the main characters do are form the game so there not realistic and is not what you would expect someone to do in real life.

Spoilers ahead:

I haven't played the games, so I could be way off here... but did anyone else wonder if Rose and Bennett were dead all along? The way I understood it was that Alyssa and all of those religious nuts had already died in the hotel fire, and Alyssa was trapping them in her own limbo because of what they had done to her (and that the Darkness was Alyssa's nightmares controlling her world). But even in the end of the movie, Rose and Sharon can't escape that world. Could they have been dead all along, stuck in Alyssa's limbo too? Rose nailed her head hard in the crash, and Bennett said she crashed her motorcycle as well (and hit her head). At the end as Rose is driving away, you see a shot of the motorcycle on the ground and a dent in the guardrail.

Quality post!

I agree 100%...that's why I liked it because it stayed true to the game...the hell world was identical in many ways to the scenarios the game has...classroom gets an A+...the COLORS wowed me so much...the rust fencing especially.

A lot of people say it was crap because of stupid reasons not realizing how the movie stuck to the game 100%.
