dude, people go in with broken arms and have to wait longer than he did.

you're telling me that in Toronto these clinics are so rare? Its not Zambia man.

I'm going to have to agree that the hospital was not the appropriate place to go. In fact, that's really a perfect example of the problem with "free" health care and why our system is such a mess - people would not go for minor injuries if they had to pay $1000 for every visit (or have their insurance premiums raised next year for too many visits).

Really, I am sorry about the injury but he didn't need to go to the hospital for it, and it's perfectly understandable to me that the nurse said "It's OK, he's not dying" - they have to treat patients who ARE dying first!

Time to switch governments.

YOU CAN CHANGE THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM FOR THE BETTER IF YOU VOTE ACCORDINGLY

i sat with a dislocated finger in the air and blood squirting all over the place, for about five hours.

I nearly tore the hospital apart.

The NDP would make a bad problem even worse.

A very close friend worked in a ER as resident... he told me lots of things.

That people going there with no purpose are always the last on the list, and are always bumped last... until there's absolutely no one more urgent.

But people arriving in a bad shape, gets treated on the spot, no question asked.

Some of you guys are confusing two things, quality and accessibilty.

I have 100% faith in the quality of our medical staff and system, the main issue is access to it.

Once you enter the system to get treated the quality is mint, its getting access to it that is the whole problem.

What about when there's no one else in the ER...everyone's been treating...and you're just sitting there...waiting...for no one to go ahead of you...

1- you don't know what the doctor(s) are doing, they're maybe busy with someone inside.

2- its the perfect time for doctors for a friggin break after a 24h shift...:wtf:
